he said if they keep winning, people will make that comparison… and it even sounded like he was suggesting that the comparison was ludicrous.

They can be compared to week1-4 2019 LSU but that’s it.
You can also compare a sandal to a boot. It doesn’t mean they are the same thing.
I know what Pate is trying to do with his post but to get an actual worthwhile comparison they’d have to wait until the season is over. He's just trying to get clicks.
Honestly though, I thinks it’s a compliment to always be the golden standard. I hope every team compares themselves to 2019 to see where they stack up.
