Honestly, if there weren't missed assignments during the spring while installing a new offense I would be more worried.

AND, to be fair, the defense is running new stuff, too.

I'm not surprised the O would miss assignments (at this point) on several plays.

God the canned speak is so boring. Everyone has their thing.

Obviously Narcisse has to be the athlete. Myles has the cannon.

So Justin must be the CONFIDENT one!!!

If Narcisse isn’t as confident as Justin McMillan we are all doomed

HOPE AND PRAY!!!!

If we could combine all of these attributes into one player we'd have the GOAT QB.

Thanks man but I can’t take credit for that gif.

LsuFan4040 posted that in his thread earlier today and it cracked me up. It just screams Hope and Pray.

Need someone to fark O’s face on that one

I'm not projecting too much based on any of this. Slow news day so I was just adding a few more quotes from the scrimmage. I'll remind folks that we are talking about day "6" of spring.

I also thought this was interesting:

quote:

Almost all last spring, the defense was kept on its heels by then-new offensive coordinator Matt Canada, whose motion-oriented schemes at times looked like the Harlem Globetrotters weave offense.

It wasn't until the spring game that the defense stopped Canada's offense dead in its tracks.

Regardless, that's a great gif.

Oh frick yes. That would be hilarious. Responding to one of Ree's or Spaceclownboy's posts with that gif with o's face would be epic.

Good thing opposing defenses won’t be able to do that during the season!!!

I mean I have Said I am Not going to put too much weight into this.

I get that the offense isn’t going to know the offense in 6 days. I also Think there is going to be a lot of experimenting with the new playbook.

But I hope “do what our players do well” doesn’t mean “I am Going to make a whole new playbook based on each QBs strength”

It's a shame how many people on here want Orgeron and Ensminger to fail just so they can say "I told you so." If players aren't picking up stuff they're being taught whose fault is that? What makes any of you think Tom Herman could come in here and make All-Americans out of average players?
The LSU coaching staff has a lot of experience. They know how to coach. Some of you ought to be banned about how you disparage the staff. It's never the players fault if they can't learn. It's always the coaches fault because they can't coach or motivate.

Get ready for a 10-2 season and quit your bitching.

Is there an actual new playbook bein implemented or are we using some of the stuff used over the last couple years with an additional few plays?

honest question

The article says we're running a West Coast offense, but the way that term gets thrown around, there's no telling.

We could just be throwing more underneath or intermediate stuff that was never fully implemented into a game plan.

Cant be! O said he would hire the best O coordinators in football

The O Defenders will just tell you that the hire was great but the players just can’t execute. (Despite the fact that many of them will be on TV playing on Sundays for many years)

See. It’s starting already. (Average players) that the NFL seems to want? When did the NFL adapt an (average players only) policy?

So let me see if I'm following this...we have average players, but we're going to win 10 games because of the coaching staff. If we don't win 10 games, the players are to blame for being stupid.

Good Lord.

And they always want to leave out who RECRUITED those “average players”.
