I agree but most of these rantards don't and can't handle the truth. Three of last four games no shut down defense in 2nd half by any means. Gotta fix it Dave!

You don't think will Wade should be here. Your opinion means nothing

Yeah, well the numbers disagree with you, so take your contrarian shtick to some other argument.

You have people using the following against him:
the Bama game, where the offense literally did nothing
the A&M game, where 7 possessions started at the 25
the bowl game, where I could have been a defensive starter due to all the injuries and guys sitting
and this game, against what is likely to be one of the best offenses in the nation at their house.
Shitting on him for this stretch is incredibly low IQ, but not surprising given who's doing it.

I posted the numbers. Never worse than 8th in the advanced defensive metrics.
Advanced metrics? Why not just go by total defense like the rest of the college football world?
Total defense ranks (2016-2019)
5
12
29
50 (so far)
Am I taking crazy pills or is the defense getting worse every year that he’s been here? There is an undeniable trend here.

The fact that he's more respected than Orgeron on this board really chaps your arse.
Y’all’s obsession with propping up Aranda is pathetic, and y’all did/do the same shite with Canada. Calling you out on BS has nothing to do with Orgeron.

I believe the days of dominating defenses are gone. 2 main reasons are: Offense has evolved to use speed over power(get your best athletes in space). 2. Holding is legal now( old days you could NOT grab jersey).
Once a good spread team is rolling(think tempo) it’s very difficult to stop.

Its game two. He's got a long season to show what he can do.
The last thing I want to do is act like the retards and overreact, wanting to blame someone when things don't go "my way." Theres way too much of it on this board already.

Uh, 4th & 17 against Clemson. Go back and watch that.
The screen pass Bama threw in the last
minute of the game. Watch that one.
There are many more.
In addition wtf has Chavis done since leaving LSU? LOL.

In fairness, Aranda has his own vs A&M. In fact, he had two of them.

Are you not onboard the ref train anymore? Or was that excuse only valid when defending O for the loss?

What do your advanced stats say about 29, 74 (31 in regulation blowing a 14-point lead), 32 and 38 points? That’s the amount of points LSU’s opponents have scored in the last four games LSU has played against teams with a pulse. I’ll be fair: I’ll take away six points from the 32 given up to UCF because of a pick-six.
Aranda’s defenses have not been dominant in recent big games. It’s a troubling trend. And he always seems to be granted excuses: not enough time for the players in the system, don’t have the players yet to fit the system, players don’t execute, injuries, dehydration, etc. At a certain point, you have to make your system fit what you have. And bend-but-don’t-break may work in the Big Ten, but you have to get after people in the SEC.
It’s time he makes some adjustments. He’s got too much talent to be consistently putting up subpar defensive numbers.

Just for the record, I don’t think Aranda should be fired, and he has time to turn it around this season obviously.
I made the simple statement that he’s making #1 money and has close to (if not #1) talent, and is putting out lower ranked defenses.
Btw all of this is irrelevant foolishness anyway. Ed likes him a lot and always talks him up in interviews.
