if you do decide to sell them for face value, be sure to include all of the fees, etc. that you had to pay in addition to the actual amount on the ticket....it is a pretty substantial amount...

to answer your question...if these are "your" tickets that you won't be using and want to sell, then I think you are perfectly justified in making a profit....the tickets are worth whatever the market will bear...

I do think it is morally wrong however, to buy tickets with the sole intention of selling them for a profit....

Face value to a friend, otherwise if someone is willing to pay for the tickes, they feel lucky to get them.

If I am selling to friends, I choose to sell for face value....I just don't feel right about making money off my friends

If I am selling to strangers, there may be a slight brokerage charge

Thanks all for your responses. My wife was wondering why in the hell would I ask a bunch of guys on a message board for advice. I told her, it was not for advice, just to get a feeling of what the masses thought. I would not sell them to a friend for family for over face. But if I just threw them out there and said here they, goes to the highest bidder...how would I feel. Oh well guess that's for me to deal with ...thanks again

i buy my season tix from a friend. and he sells for the price he pays. not one cent over face. i'd be pissed if he'd ask for more.

to a friend it's wrong to sell for more. but if it was to some random person, i'd prolly take the highest bidder.

It depends on whether I am the one buying your tickets. If you're selling to me, you should really sell them for 20% below face value. Anybody else, go for it.

Hard to understand why selling for a profit is a problem. That is the american way. If we were socialistic it would be different. Many feel our country is headed that way. If the profit is not that big of course you would want to make friends happy. On the other hand if the profit is a big one ...what true friend would not want you to have that for your family to use as you please. I say go american if the profit is big enough. I only read 1/2 of Atlas Shrugged but I think that is what it would say too.

Agreed.

I also agree with Rick Flair on personal preference. I'd try to sell them (face value or cost)to a friend or known Tiger Fan who would really appreciate them... not be a jerk in your seats, etc. I don't consider that I'm better than someone selling tickets to the highest bidder, but, as a matter of preference, I either give them to friends or sell any extra tickets at games to Fathers with their kid(s), couples, etc... people who are obviously anxiously wanting to go to the game.
