well she has over 5000 friends and another 4000+ subscribers (whatever that is). She also tweeted it, and she has another 10k followers there. I wouldn't exactly call that just her personal profile page where she's just trying to communicate with her close group of friends.

So a person trying to make a football team is a distraction, not the bent out of shape drama queens who are seething over this? I swear some of you people were born to be suburban housewives.

If those people don't want to read what she had to say then they probably shouldn't have friended or followed her. She didn't force their hand.

No man, frick her for being that well liked, and that interesting enough that people want to know what she's doing. If she does anything noteworthy in her day, she should damn well keep it to herself.

My .02 is that the ONLY way she kicks is if Drew A. and our second string MALE scholarship kicker from Dallas would both be hurt.

and our 3rd and 4th string kickers. is it not telling that mo didn't make the team but 2 other freshman walk on kickers did?

I'm glad she is well liked.
I don't really give a frick what she or anyone else I don't know personally is doing.. Don't have a Facebook or twitter.
The noteworthy thing she is "doing".... well that boat sailed last year.
A good many people on here thought it was awesome last year, a fair amount of others thought it was stupid.

Best thing about this whole story is it'll be over with in week or so.

They have tryouts every year, maybe she worked really hard to get better, maybe the freshman kicker just got high, and banged chicks all off season.

No one but a few people who are being drama queens are distracted. You are your own distraction, no one else really cares if she is trying to make the team.

If she does, good for her. If not, She will know she tried her best.

She probably reached farther than most anyone ever tries in life. More power to her.

???? she was a soccer player already on scholarship and went and kicked footballs for a few days. i don't see how that's such a reach. if you wanna say what she went through as a soccer player, and her dad dying during her junior season, and coming back and continuing to keep going to finish out her soccer career at LSU was something most people couldn't or wouldn't do, i don't disagree at all. but this charade as a "football player"? nah, don't agree with that

what do you think would qualify as a distraction? because after reading through this thread, it seems like distractions are some make believe things created by fans.

I don't get why you'd begrudge the girl. What she's doing effects you absolutely zero.

Because it's a girl. Some people have archaic ideas about this kind of stuff.

I don't see the same uproar happening if an ex LSU baseball player was trying out to be the fourth option kicker.

I'm just glad it'll be over soon. She got the publicity, and now we will get it out the way and play some REAL football

fwiw, I wouldn't mind playing with her in the backfield

because it wouldn't be on the news because no one on earth cares to hear about a 5th string kicker. i remember a few years back UT had a basketball player try out for the football team. He got cut in the spring and accepted it. 100m Gold medalist Justin Gatlin was banned from track for 4 years, and he tried out for the NFL. It was a blip on the radar. Female soccer player tries to walk on as the 5th string kicker, national news rounds and TV shows. Makes total sense. She just seems like an attention whore to me, plain and simple. If you want to buy the "it;s her dream" thing, fine, I just don't personally believe that to be true.

So you're whole beef is that people are covering her doing this. That's it. That's your damage?

Ok.
