Even kickers. I don't know why this shite is controversial. It's a men's sport. You don't see motherfrickers trying out for softball just to make their balls warm. What's the deal?

And again, I've read Mo's story and think she's a gem. But this is ridiculous.

First off, you have to let her try out. It would cause more problems than anything. Secondly, I hope she doesn't make the team because I would hope that our kickers could out perform a girl (even if she wears red, white and blue spandex and goes through 2 cans of hair spray in a day). However, if she is capable of out performing the guys and earns a spot, she should get it. Honestly, none of you should have a problem with this since she's "just a girl" and won't be able to out perform a guy, there's nothing to worry about.

How the frick do you quote someone else and attribute it to me? I've seen this before. I honestly don't know how to do it on this board.

If you haven't something to say (write), be my guest. Don't misquote me.

I don't have a problem with her trying out.

It's good PR.

Football is a men's sport, not a unisex sport. I don't give a shite about Title 9 or whatever is driving this. There must be some easier way to placate women over this. The football team already funds a bunch of shite that no one watchers.

I agree that T9 has fricked up a lot of things for college sports but I can see no other reason to not let her even try out other than fear.

I dont think much would have been made of it. especially considering we have plenty of kickers on scholly right now. Im sure les could use that as the reason instead of saying she can't make it because she is a girl

So if she is better than anyone on scholarship, she shouldn't make the team?

How in your twisted way of thinking would this be an embarrassment? How. Serious question? For all you losers saying football is a mans sport... why do you think it is a MANS sport? Because it takes a man to play it right. I agree men will always dominate this sport and women might never legitimately make the cut.

If that is so why do you want a special rule that says inferior atheletes CAN'T play football when it is already survival of the fittest?

I don't care about field goals, Alleman has that job. The problem LSU has is kick off distance.

The article posted on here last week said her kickoffs were falling generally right before the end-zone. It didn't say when those kicks were done. If they were in the fall then I suspect they have improved because I don't think she has practiced with a football for long.

Seriously tackling is the issue here. I doubt she could do much, I say this because kickers typically can not do much. So the question isn't can she, its more of a 'Is she willing to'. Seems like more often than not a kicker tries and fails, or doesn't try. If she tries and fails then she is no worse than most kickers out there.

frick it.

I say let her tryout and I hope she makes it as a walkon.

She won't travel, but let her dress for the home games so she can become the first D1A female player to play when Les asks her to kick a FG to put us up 56-0 over Alabama in November.

Yeah, it'd be better to be looked at as a bunch of slack-jaws that are too scared that a women might do a good enough job so we just won't even let her try out.

Dude. If you're quoting the light-hearted video that I posted, chill. But I agree with it in spirit. I don't think women should be trying out for football. It has nothing to do with fear and everything to do with politics and bullshite infecting one of the purest remaining human pursuits--sport. Women don't belong on men's football teams. If you disagree you can frick off. I'm not normally this dismissive, but you've already shown that you're not exactly stout of spirit, so frick it.

BTW, it's a man's sport.

Seriously, some of you guys need to re-evaluate your views on the place of women in this world. If you still have the same misogynist views after your re-assessment, might I suggest relocating to a warmer, dryer, sandier climate where your views are more accepted.

National Championship football teams don't deal with distractions like field-goal kicking Homecoming Queens.. That's Disney type shite right there..

or just tell her thanks for the interest but no thanks.

I would really not like to see her as the last line of defense on a kickoff.

1.) if she can kick and is good enough, who gives a frick?

2.) does nobody else want to see our female kicker tackle a bama kick returner?
