Wow, this is pathetic:

"Despite his career earnings being more than $16 million, Claiborne may be looking for a bit more money. His SEC Championship ring is currently listed on eBay for $100,000, and it looks every bit genuine."

I'm thinking he gave this ring to someone. Probably a family member who is trying to sell it.

Damn I heard the rumors about him not being able to read, but he can't add and subtract either? Every athlete should follow Shaq's mom's advice, if you can't balance a check book you shouldn't leave college.

If you can't handle balancing a check book you shouldn't be in college in the first place.

Some of you sorry pieces of horse manure are a sorry bunch of "fans". I have met Mo and he was a very nice person exhibiting great humility despite his lofty status and income. He did not come across as illiterate or dumb like many of you want to label him. But that fits many of your world view of those like him. Dumb and lazy. I bet you have never met him or have any factual evidence that he cant't read. And don't you think that might have been difficult for him to attend LSU for 3 years without ever reading and writing? Geese, it hurts sharing LSU fandom with some of you pitiful human beings.

For some players not all, it's not what you play for anymore. A NC game ring or a Super Bowl ring used to be the ultimate prize......

By the way, if it is true he has it listed for $100,000, seems he can add quite well. Seems a great businessman to me. If the ring holds no sentimental value to him, he would be a fool to pass up on $100,000 for it. Not dumb at all. And some person of your ilk, who obviously values the ring so highly to denounce him for selling it, would be the type to purchase it at that inflated price.

I've been out of college for 4 years and have never balanced a checkbook. I've written two checks total. Who the frick writes a check anymore?

Morris Claiborne selling his ring because it does not hold any sentimental value to him does not make him a great businessman. It makes him a functioning human-being.
