This is no gimmee at all. Very tough defense, solid coach, good QB, their place. 1st road game for the young Tigers.

I expect a very close game.

Agreed. There's a bunch of overconfident fans here.

Yes there are a lot of fans that seem to think the past has something to do with this game. It does not

Nah. If they win, sure.

But their season can still be a huge success relative to their expectations and their reduced acceptable level of failure.

If they go 7-5 with a win against Ole Miss they will be dancing in the streets.

So you think this is a Les Miles team?

If this game is a loss, that will prove Orgeron was not an improvement over Les.

It's freaking MISSISSIPPI STATE.

they will be playing to win. Dan Mullen knows how to beat LSU. Sure, he's only done it once, but this year has nothing to do with the previous.

This could be seen as a trap game.

What I would tell myself (and anyone else) if State wins is that LSU should have hired Mullen instead of Orgeron.

Please explain.

Agreed. Not sure why people think Les Miles will make it closer than necessary.

Without a doubt, the most overused cliche on this site.

It sounds like you're nothing but a dork who can't wait to blame O if they lose, or can't wait to say "I told you so" if they win. Either way you're an idiot.

So you're saying that you've lowered the bar for O and now it's ok for LSU to lose to MISSISSIPPI STATE.

Got it.

Personally I believe Miles was fired because our expectations are higher than that. So yeah, I expect O to handily beat State.

ETA: And yes, O will (and should) be blamed if he loses to State. We didn't fire Les so we could have more 8-4 seasons.

I just hope we come out swinging because Mississippi State could've won the game the past 2 years the way they stormed back

Preach.

I mean, Christ.

MSU should not beat LSU.

Fans are already making their excuses. It's just so 2 sided. O was hired because he's a great recruiter and hired all world coordinators. But then recruiting rankings don't matter and MSU is gonna outcoach us with their 3* talent. And I realize they have some higher rated guys sprinkled throughout. But come the hell on.. I expect a 10 point win at their dog shite stadium. I'm not expecting to blow them out, but there are some serious pussies in this fan base.

We are bad fans for expecting LSU to beat fricking MSU. If you are scared of this game, then you're gonna be scared shitless come the AU, Bama, and the other SEC foes.

frick MSU.

Geaux O and Geaux Tigers!!

And frick Stingray. Just kidding. I actually like him.

In most years, yes. But this might be the best combination of talent and experience Moo State has had since Dak Prescott's junior season. While most analysts consider them a longshot to win the SEC-W, they also believe they can pull an upset or two on the way to a 9-win season.
