Milroe is not the backup

HEADLINE after the game: Milroe runs wild and runs back to Tuscalozer like the original Gump. Can't stop running...

Bro, they had a 75 yard drive in like 7 plays with him

Lightning in a bottle. Honestly just looked to me like there wasn’t much prep at all for him potentially coming into the game. They had Weigman dead to rights. Just wasn’t prepared to go against that style of qb for this game. Two weeks to get ready for milroe I feel ok about.

The Aggie qb switch left our d with their minds going like this:
I think this might be the best explanation of where things went south on Saturday. Baker probably game-planned for shell-shocking Weigman and wasn't ready for a DT running QB to come in and exploit our biggest deficiency on defense.
Plus, once we started furking on special teams and getting way behind the sticks on offense, we started panicking which gave aTm good field position (or outright gifts via interceptions). Once the rockslide started, we couldn't escape it and got buried.
I said in another post that you can learn as much when you lose as when you win. If BK, Baker and Sloan are worth anywhere near what they're being paid then there's a lot to take away from the aTm loss.
If we can use this loss to help correct glaring problems then I like our chances down the road. Maybe we make the playoffs, or maybe we get a really good bowl game. Hell, if aTm runs the table (and so do we) then we could meet them again in Atlanta.
Regardless, this season is salvageable and we can still make the playoffs with 2 losses if we can recover.
If, however, we don't learn anything from that game, we'll probably end up at least 9-3, maybe 12-4 because Vandy, Florida and maybe even OU have a punchers chance of handing us a fourth L.
And before the rant meatheads come barging in with "if we haven't done it by now, we won't do it" - we've already shown an ability to weather a storm and come out successful on the other end. Saturday's loss was as much about emotion and getting surprised by a complete change on aTm's offense as anything else (and, the ghey was STRONG with the milkmen and that crowd was LIT). Perfect storm for us.
Question is whether we're going to let aTm beat us twice, or maybe even a third time this season before we even get to the last game.

Cool, LSU defense had 17 snaps against aTm's first 4 drives with Reedunder center. On the fifth drive LSU, after another Nussmeier interception, held him to a field goal.
17 snaps isn't alot of snaps for a defense to figure out an entirely new offense. Especially when your offense gives them 4 short fields on 5 drives....

Penn has played very well this year.

Yep
Nussmeier lost that game. Plain and simple.

Yeh, it was stifling. A&M only ran through our ahit again all the way to the 1 yard line before getting stopped by penalties
LSU never figured out shite
Their drives with Reed
1 play 8 yards touchdown
7 plays 60 yards touchdown
5 plays 26 yards touchdown
4 plays 75 yards touchdown
6 plays 29 yards(down to the 1) field goal
When exactly was the “we had him figured out” part?
They had two long drives for tds. Saying we figured it out after a few plays is the wildest interpretation of that game ever
