agree with that. You got to make it easy on the o-line and Mett. You just can't throw when the d has it's ears pinned back and is ready to blow in. Your just going to make your o-line and QB look like shite when you do that. Same problem as last year.

Yes. The only thing someone has to say otherwise is the "trust the coaches" stock answer. I don't for the above reasons.
So lets see here. CLM and staff can't evaluate talent properly, only get good recruits because LSU sells itself, are too stubborn and can't adjust on the fly, can't game plan, can't figure out how to run an offense, can't manage the game, can't manage the clock in critical situations, and can't give a good interview.
Soooo...explain to me again how this magician has won all those games and championships? Ooooh..thats right....dumb luck and players that are so good he can't screw em up.
Is that the story you are sticking with? Can't be maybe your missing something huh genius. Nah, guy like you gotta be smarter than poor ole Les Miles and the band of merry retards that help him coach the team.
You frickers never cease to amaze me. Are you SURE you got all the dirt out of that ditch today?

Care to refute any of this?
quote:
14:16 2nd quarter - Josh D pretends he is in a walkthrough and down blocks on the invisible man. #90 Gabe Wright comes right off his shoulder and makes the tackle in the backfield.
The very next play, Mett unloads the pass to Wright immediately. If he held it for even 1 second longer the man that just ran right through Josh D. would have sacked him.
8:41 2nd quarter - Josh D pancakes the invisible man. Hilliard tackled for a loss inside the 5 yard line.
7:26 2nd - 3rd and 1. Lemoiner blows JD up in the backfield. Ford has to wait for Copeland to block Lemoiner since JD couldn't be bothered with all that. Ford tackled for no gain. LSU has to punt.
1:01 2nd qt- LSU driving inside AU territory after Ware's long run. 1st down. JD doesn't even offer Lemoiner any resistance en route to sacking Mettenberger.
14:07 3rd quarter - Josh D completely whiffs on Lemoiner. Ware is forced to waste 2 seconds juking him in the backfield and bounce outside. Ware tackled for a loss.
12:30 3rd - 3rd and 3. Josh D again destroys an invisible defensive lineman while letting real defensive linemen and linebackers free to tackle Ware for no gain.

Hurst don't have the feet to play LT. Hell , he isn't all that great at pass blocking at RT

dude you should just leave it to the coaches. Your so-called analysis sucks

I agree. But I have to say I trust him a lot more than Dworaczyk. I actually think Hurst is a more natural fit at guard.

I haven't read this thread, but what possible changes could be made? There are no trades I. College football, no waiver wire to pick up anybody. Faulks injury was devastating and we gotta deal with and play with who we got. Collins us bigger than he was coming out, maybe he doesnt
Have the speed anymore to play LT. And even if he's a little better than Josh, perhaps the switch of those 2 would hurt the running game, making it a net loss.
Some of you tards are acting like Miles is playing Josh over Faulk. Hrs not. Faulk is not available. Im sure the coaches are trying to make the best of a shitty situation rather than sticking their heads in the sand lime a lot of you imbeciles seem to think.

That is the way they see it. Hard as it is to believe that people could be that narrow minded. No one ever explains who got those players, who coached those players up, etc... Anyone could coach LSU to the NC except Les Miles. Hell, even a dumbass like John L. Smith could do it. Too bad he is taken.

Nope. That's some more of Maximus' bullshite. I have made a promise to myself not to be dragged into any more of his ridiculous crap. I don't know what sort of bad things have made him so miserably negative but arguing with him is pointless. He NEVER has anything positive to say, no matter what, every cloud has a dark lining in his world.
As an example, just to humor him, suppose I was to agree that all seven of the play he picked out were examples of JD messing up. We had 70+ offensive snaps Saturday night. Maxi said he messed up 7 snaps to that means JD graded out around 90% for the night right? Thats a pretty good night. And I can promise you that of the seven that he described he got a few wrong...because his football acumen is low.
Anyways, I'm through wasting my time with that guy, he's a human dead end street that isn't gonna be happy until everyone is as miserable as him.
I prefer to watch the games with Delusional Optimism because that is waaaay more fun!

Corey Lemonier had 3 tackles, including his sacks. His only tackles for a loss were the sacks.
So Maximus and co., JD "sucks" but his guy made 3 tackles all game. What gives?
Well, if you want to play this game okay...Sam Montgomery only had 4 tackles all game.

I wonder if Bama fans reacted this way after their line gave up 6 sacks to Western Kentucky last weekend.
They started a big long thread about it.

At times, yes.
Les has on occasion made a decision that was masterful. He has also, on many an occasion, looked like a gigantic buffoon.
Some people feel the need to defend him against any criticism, even if it is so obvious to just about every single person who watched the game in question. And I get some of it...part of me feels the knee jerk reaction to get pissed off and rush to defend him whenever I hear or read the national media or other fans mock him. But I'm not going to apply this non-cognitive whiteout that some of you use with this "trust the coaches" BS.
Playing Josh D at LT is a tremendous disadvantage for us. And it will eventually cost us. Book it.

The issue is that there is probably no other solution right now.
Faulk's absence is a great loss. JD is not the best tackle in the team and he is not playing over Faulk - he is playing because he is a substitute for him.
Perhaps Collins is a better Tackle , perhaps not - but even if he were, what if the coaches saw that JD is worse as a guard and the positive that collins brings as T is less than the negative offset of JD or someone else in his place as guard!
It is not ideal to tamper too much with the OL and should give them time to gel as it is a unit that is seldom shifted once it is set.
This is not the ideal situation and we can't bring or buy new OL players - it sucks but it is not because of stubborn nature of coaches or some conspiracy.
We can hope that this would be the week that they figure out their chemistry and at least not present gaping holes.

But what other choice do you have in a situation like this? All you can "reasonably" do is trust the coaches. None of us get to watch practice. None of us knows the full situation of all the players on the line...what their true abilities are. We can only watch the little snippets that we get from the games, but is that enough for you to be absolutely sure the coaches are making a mistake? Of course it isn't. But if you want to go on and pretend that you can outsmart the coaches on what little info you have to go on...lets make a bet on every decision the coaches make. I'll take the coaches and you bet on you. I'll have all your money and it ain't gonna take long!
