Since you asked me to respond to your responses to my questions i will say that from your responses i have concluded that: Deep down you dont want Miles as our coach, you are willing to take a chance and make a change on a big name guy if available. Since we cant land jimbo you are okay with keeping miles for 2016 (I agree with that but i am upset). Miles is stubborn but now his ego is inflamed with all the love he was shown last night. It wont be a wake up call, nothing will change because in his mind, the fans at the game love me and i dont need to change. Your "we sill win more than most people" comment is ignorant but i understand the mindset of being good enough and complacency.

First, great avatar after last year...

quote:

1) Do you think that the LSU football program is going to shut down and end the day that Miles retires?

No, but I'd be willing to bet that LSU would return to normal service - think the 70s and 80s.

quote:

2) Do you think at some point in LSU's future that there will be a new head coach?

After Miles retires

quote:

3) Why are you so afraid to make a change while our program still carries a powerful image?

That image is within your mind.

LSU is, at best, a top-15 program. Unless Miles gives up and we have three or four losing seasons in a row, that's not going to change while he's here.

quote:

4) Wouldnt you rather make change when you have all of your best athletes returning and a top notch recruiting class coming in?

And that recruiting class is still going to come in if you hire Mullen?

quote:

5) Do you ever wonder why the offense hasnt really changed between all these different Offensive Coordinators that we have had?

This is just a lie.

quote:

6) Do you watch other College Football games?

Yes. Most things that anti-Miles people think only happen with Miles happen on a weekly basis at many, many programs. For example, Meyer used two of his three timeouts in the first quarter yesterday due to the play not getting in on time. There are many other examples.

First off i want to say that the general public/fan typically does not know what it wants and just needs someone to just make the correct decision even if at first they dont like it.
_________________________________
The general public/fan want to see there team win if not that they stay in the game and play there heart out not quit. Any given Saturday any team can win your an idiot if you think other wise.

_______________________________
The administration needs to step up, do the right thing and make the CHANGE.
_______________________________
Why because you think it needs to happen. Glad your writing the check. And since we're talking money here the State Legislature is not going to adding much to the coffers to replace the money you squander. Their going to say hey you can come up with those kind of $'s to replace a coach on a contract you can pay higher tuition and all the other expenses the school needs.

All you fans that praise miles and dont want him to leave, i have some questions for you guys.

1) Do you think that the LSU football program is going to shut down and end the day that Miles retires?
______________
No it will go on just like other programs. But there will be a dip just like every other program does if you think it doesn't your delusional.

2) Do you think at some point in LSU's future that there will be a new head coach?
___________________
Well DUH no body works for every your an idiot!

3) Why are you so afraid to make a change while our program still carries a powerful image?
____________________
Is the world ending tomorrow and LSU is falling of the face of the earth?

4) Wouldnt you rather make change when you have all of your best athletes returning and a top notch recruiting class coming in?
____________________
Hum we've had lot of great talent for the last 11 years. I'm thinking we have the most players in the NFL? Yes they are mostly returning because they have to dork... As far as the incoming class you've screwed the pooch on that one with your meddling and whining about the coach they were coming to play for.

5) Do you ever wonder why the offense hasnt really changed between all these different Offensive Coordinators that we have had?
______________________
More whining because we can't recruit a QB because you people are cannibals and eat your own. Hell why would a kid want to come here and be booed?

6) Do you watch other College Football games?

All the time there very entertaining.

Im curious to enter the minds of some of you pro miles people and see how you respond to these questions.

Aren't you a member of the general public?

All your questions are dumb.

Teams that got slammed yesterday that supposedly have rant approved top twit coaches: Mich, ND lost to a PAC 12 Stanford team, UCLA, Florida, Okie State.

That was just yesterday. Almost all of those teams finish with three or more losses with a non SEC west schedule.

So I ask you, do you watch football outside the MAC?

they all love him so much now but I wonder, where was the love at the end of the 3rd quarter of the Arky game when the stadium was about 60% empty? Where was the "we love Les" signs then? I just want them all to ask themselves how they felt seeing Arky dominate us like that for the 2nd year in a row.

Yes right now LSU is a top 15-top 25 program.
But 2-3 years ago we were top 5-top 10. Notice a trend?

Obviously we will lose some athletes but i dont think our entire class de-commits and leaves..

How much longer do you want to keep miles? Are you interested in re evaluating after next season is someone like a Jimbo becomes available? Or are you a long term miles guy

1) Do you think that the LSU football program is going to shut down and end the day that Miles retires?

No

2) Do you think at some point in LSU's future that there will be a new head coach?

Yes

3) Why are you so afraid to make a change while our program still carries a powerful image?

It's not clear who that the change would be an upgrade. Pretty much every program who has made the change you are suggesting has regretted it.

4) Wouldnt you rather make change when you have all of your best athletes returning and a top notch recruiting class coming in?

Absoutely not. Say what you want about him, but Miles actually has won a title with the best players. How many coaches can say that? Ok, then how many of those are available?

5) Do you ever wonder why the offense hasnt really changed between all these different Offensive Coordinators that we have had?

Miles is stubborn. It's a shame.

6) Do you watch other College Football games?
All the time.

i have some questions

Let me ask you one. Do you honestly believe LSU is going to pay Miles 4+ mil a yr. for 4 yrs and Jimbo 6-7 mil a yr. for 4 yrs to do the same job???

No one is yet to explain to me why Jimbo would give up a gig in the ACC where he is winning 93% of his games since 2012 to come to the SECW and face the likes of Bama, Aub, Ark., Old Miss, A%M, and Fla. yearly. Surely none of us think Fla. St would simply roll over and give him up without a $$$$$ fight.

I support Miles, but that doesn't mean I don't see warning flags or that I think he is the only coach who can be successful at LSU.

Skipping 1&2 because of the utter stupidity of the questions

3. The LSU name will always carry weight. Doesn't matter if we make the change this year or next or 2019. LSU will always be LSU

4. Double edged sword. You make a change in head coach now and that recruiting class goes away. Every coach in the country will be licking their chops. Especially if it's not a home run hire, and since jimbo isn't coming here, what other coach would you be willing to lose key members of this class for?

5. Their has been slight to moderate changes in the offense. The core principles of run first will never change under Milds because it's his philosophy and what he wants to build the team around and there's nothing wrong with that. A string rushing attack has been the staple of championship winning football teams since the start of time. Les and staff has always recruited work horses at running back to execute that philosophy as well. Charles Scott, Steven Ridley, spencer ware, Michael ford, Alfred blue, Kenny Hilliard, Jeremy hill, LF7 and next up, Guice. Miles has wanted a downhill rushing attack and has hired coordinators with those philosophies so of course it has looked similar and smartly, any coordinator coming here is going to pick up on plays the previous coordinator and incorporated them into the offense because it's something the players are familiar with and execute well. Gives you a foundation to build on.

6. I probably watch more football than 99% of the board and I definitely watch it with a different eye than 99.5% of this board as I am a former college football player and former graduate assistant.

Yes. LSU is not afraid to fork up cash for a coach if they think he is worth it. I hate to say it but look at Alabama and Nick Sabans contract from his first hire and all his extensions. The president of Alabama said that paying Saban that money was the best INVESTMENT into the university that they could have made. So yes our university wouldnt mind finding and paying the money if they believe it will pay itself back. Those guys understand the risk/reward theory. (And dont tell me to look at Texas and the money they paid Strong)

I would be more accepting of a 9-3 record if we new how to complete a forward pass. Because at least then I would know each year we have at least a chance to win the SEC. With these offenses being so handcuffed it isn't really a good possibility right now.

Yes, but let's make a bet on next year's offensive game plan. Pass vesus run, and or the number of offensive plays in the play book. I got 65 35 and 8

Who would think this? Stop being an idiot.

Of course there will.

I don't think it's being afraid. It's much more why an unnecessary change? Everyone in their right mind expected a 2-4 loss season this year. This can still be a "10 win" season considering we didn't play the McNeese game.

quote:

4) Wouldnt you rather make change when you have all of your best athletes returning and a top notch recruiting class coming in?

All of the athletes that this coaching staff have recruited and developed? And as far as the next recruiting class, even just the past two weeks have already a negative effect on it. You push Miles out that class will almost immediately start faltering. Miles proved just two years ago that "his" style of offense can set SEC records when we have a QB he trusts to make plays.

quote:

5) Do you ever wonder why the offense hasnt really changed between all these different Offensive Coordinators that we have had?

I highly disagree with this. It's been proven time and time again that Miles is absolutely willing to air the ball out when his QB can make accurate throws. Just look at the last three games and frankly this whole season. They've green lighted Harris to let it fly and he just can't carry that kind of load yet. So what does Miles do? Reel it back in and ride his usually potent run game. But everyone calls that being conservative when he knows its his best option. And can you really argue with giving the best player in college football the ball?

quote:

6) Do you watch other College Football games?

Nah, I've never seen another team play.
