the program has been on an upswing the last 3 seasons and absolutely loaded for a run next year.

no one will disagree with this statement. I said the same thing, just think there was a little bit of a fall out due to the title game. next year we should be stacked for a run. I think 2 losses next year will be considered a bad season imo.

you should've been here during and immediately after the '09 season. posters like myself and I-59 got lambasted on here for supporting Miles. you name it...we were called it. not to mention these...

he'll never beat bama again
he'll never beat UF again
he'll never win the West again
he'll never win the SEC again
he'll never lose less than 2 games a year

etc. etc.

He then proceeded to go 25-3 the next 2 seasons and alot of those posters have quietly disappeared

If the only choices are to pump sunshine or pump shite, I'll choose sunshine every time. No offense to our gay posters.

Believe me, I'm with you on that.

I just disagree with the notion and belief of some people that this program is heading south now.

Sure there has been a lot of fall out from the title game. Players were upset and rightfully so because they lost a championship.

But when you look back, lsu was one of two teams to be playing in the national championship game. Lsu won a conference title in the hardest conference in football. Lsu beat their championship game opponent in their house.

This season was great. Losing the game sucked. But it isn't the end of the world an that doesn't mean this program is ridiculously inferior to anyone.

Seems like a lot of those morons are back. I have seen some people start making ridiculous predictions like those again recently.

Do a quick search, they were all pumped up leading up to the Championship.

They truly don't know whether to shite or go blind.

This wasn't a matter of not paying attention to the clock, or repeatedly running the short-side option. This was a total mismanagement of the key position on the field through the end if the season, most notably in the final two games. And no one knows, other than maybe Les (we can't be sure, since he refuses to discuss), why he insisted on continuing to repeat his actions that were clearly ineffective.

He spoke with passion and said that LSU recruits their "needs" and not necessarily the highest star player.

What else is he going to say?

"The class is mediocre, we missed out on the top three prospects in the state, we only landed four of the top ten prospects in the state, our dreaded divisional rival Bama took the top two Louisiana recruits, and we got snookered by Toshiro Davis on Signing Day. Geaux Tigers!"

He has to say he is excited about the class. Every coach in America spews the same pablum.

After reading the OP it sounds like this board does not reflect who the high percentage of Tiger Fans are. I'm not surprised by that. Way too much negativity, name calling, etc on TD. I'm tiring of it.

great point. I don't have many issues with Les, I think he is a great recruiter and the players for the most part love playing for him. My biggest beef with him, he is stubborn on some of his approaches and usually reflects in 1-2 frickups a year.

So you disagree that this class was embarrassment considering the 2 year run LSU had?

I take umbrage with the use of the word "embarrassment".This class is nothing of the sort.

Said Gunner didn't have the "chest" to lead a program to a national title and that's why he's going somewhere where he won't get one.

Les said that?

Yep and somehow ESPN got a copy of it and just played it.

The kid wants to go to a winning program, bucked the system by announcing he will attend LSU instead of Ole Miss in a restaurant in Oxford, MS., talked smack to radio announcer that said Ole Miss was going to beat us this year
Well said. Hope he has a healthy and successful career.

Dude, I was there and saw at least 2K to 3K people. I counted 78 VIP tables that had at least 6 per so that equals to about 500 by itself. You then add the people in the "stands" above the VIP section and then add all the others in the ballroom where the food is. You must not have looked in both areas. Also, I don't think Miles ran down Kiel at all. I can't remember him even mentioning his name.

Am I missing something here? 11-2 in 2010 and 13-1 in 2011 equals 24-3 right?

The frick? I posted his stats for the year and said I'm pulling for him because the kid beat cancer. I also said I have seen him play and he ran 20 times while throwing 6. It was against Evangel in the triple header at Indy. The point was to show he is indeed a dual threat QB.

Just looked back and 4-5 posts were removed from the thread. Some were asking about him being dual threat/JJ blah blah blah. Without those posts it looks like I was calling him out. I was actually defending him.
