And if the offense could have made the first down or just eaten more clock it would have been a win too. Of course, if the O had scored a TD it would've been even better but that's crazy talk.

Fair points. But to say that loss is squarely on miles and offense would be silly and straight up agenda driven.

You should expect to not have your defense let a team go 70 yards in a minute to beat you.

If the defense doesn't blow a lead in less than a minute. Lsu wins. The team was in position to win but lost at the end because defense played horribly.

Yeah let's blame it all on defense. Don't blame the fake on 4th and 12, or the fg 50+, or play calling the FB dive.

defense didnt play horribly and its ridiculous to say so. 331 total yards. 1 for 9 on 3rd down. 20 minutes TOP for Bama compared to 39 for LSU. They played a great game, and if they hadnt for 58 minutes the game would not have been close.

W/o the VERY poor coaching calls the D wouldnt have even been in that position and you know it. Look, defend Miles. You should, if thats what you think. But be reasonable. You can point to his success and his NC as the meat of your argument. its more than enough to make a fair point. But to then to not admit the blatant blunders of Bama game just hinders your legitimacy. JMO, obviously.

$3.75 for a #14 ranking. We overpaid him.
It's not a one year contract. There's only one team better than LSU the last 5 years.

not sure why people say things like this. When evaluating a coaching job I dont see NC and then close the book. It was a 10-2 season with the biggest bowl win possible. NC doesnt end an evaluation. A NC is dependent on the performance of other teams in college football. In this NC season, we lost twice when #1, both in very poor fashion (at home and to inferior opponent)
And bama backed in to their last two, just sayin...

well, I dont see it as back dooring anything. Notice I didnt say we back doored. It was just the situation presented. Bama has 2 seasons with one loss and the biggest bowl win possible. on 12-1 and one 13-1. One season they lost to the #1 team ( pretty darn good resume) and the second they lost to a top 10 team (also very good).

You are really upset that mature adults don't want to fire the most successful head coach in school history.

I'll never understand it.

I dont want him fired.

i want him held accountable.

You and the rest of his defense brigade seem to think that even questioning his obvious failings is "wrong".

If you love LSU football, you'll hold the man accountable.

You don't, and you won't. You're in a cult of personality.

Bottom line is that all the bullshite that has happened in the les miles era (even the most diehard miles lovers has to admit there has been many) is les miles fricking fault. Lsu deserves a coach that know one has to question what the frick they are thinking. We deserve a coach who lets the players win or lose it on the field. He has cost us many games and many close calls due to idiot decisions, time mgmt (non existent), and terrible play calls for the situation. That shite should be no brainers for someone making what he makes.

But keep telling ur self it the coordinators or players or whatever excuse is cliche now.

If I had told you before the game that we'd be up 4 with the D on the field with less than two minutes, you'd have thought the offense must have dine something right and surely the D would close it out, right?

The offense did enough to win, and the d failed. How anyone can argue that is beyond me.
