After Saban won the MNC in 03,he said that the hardest thing to do is win it all one year and come back the next and still be hungry.

That's why you don't see many teams repeat. But the hangover is usually no more than one year.

you know, this should go for coaches too...I think the last two years come from coaches who thought they didnt have to work...

I agree...this years win's came from the talent of the players and not the coaching of the players...My grade for the overall coaching staff would be a C- and not an F due to the defensive and special teams coaching bringing up the F grade that the offensive coaching would have received.

Great just like his clock management statement after the Ole Miss game. It really helped us against Penn State.

There are $3.8 million reasons each year why this guy should be motivated.

He's sounding a lot better now, I have been a huge critic, but half of the problem IMO is his "lack of fire" and the intensity that he has lacked in recent years. If he can get that back and get the team fired up and behind him, then he's solved half of the problem IMO.

We’re going to look to drills that speak to competition.

You mean the best players may play this year and not just the seniors?

Though, didn't he say the same crap last year and look what that got us.

After a certain point (when you are rich enough and padded your nest for generations) it is no longer just the money - maybe the articles/ fans / message boards did get to him and he is motivated

But whatever be the cause I sure hope so because then we can the other teams like before.

If we follow Miles logic throughout the season. He said that RS was going to get all the touches and didn't get squat. I believe it's Miles logic is to say one thing and do the exact opposite. After reading this, I think the Spring will be the exact same as it was last Spring.

The difference here is all those RSFR and FR now have the clock ticking on them and it is a very young team. There is no choice but to have a competitive spring. 2 senior running backs left. Trindon Holliday gone. Brandon LaFell gone. 2 LB gone. 3 DL gone. Hawkins is gone. No fullback established. And I'm sure there are more I haven't mentioned. He was simply stating the obvious IMO.

I hope this means he gets on Stud's butt about our offensive line. It's been reported here and there that he doesn't either like to teach technique or just doesn't do it. We need VASTLY improved offensive line play if we are going to compete against Alabama, Florida, Ole Miss, Miss. State, hell everybody as the West is getting tougher with each year.

I think Admin got to him....when people complain things will get done eventually...Im sure Alleva is keepin a close eye on things now and he let miles know it...if we see a fire next year, im sure you can bet alleva said something like, "if you like working here better start doing your job"

Blah, blah, blah. Leslie has no idea how to fix the problems. I'm not even convinced he is aware that we HAVE problems.

Thanks for wasting the last 2 years being complacent!

Of course what else would he say at this point in his current status among LSU fans?

Why...because they're 5 stars? I'll leave it up to the coaching staff to determine who should be on the field.

I guess it was just coincidence that throughout the season when Lyle Hitt came out that the offensive line actually performed better....

If you got your head out of your behind and actually watched the games, you might be able to see the pitiful coaching job this staff did this year.

I guess he heard Saban's interviews before the NC Game when he was talking about competitive drills. At least he's copying off the right guy.
