Jefferson was the 269th rated passer last season

Jefferson was 114th in touchdowns thrown
Jefferson was 222nd in YPA
Jefferson was 246th in completion percentage

While "worst" is a bit of a stretch he was pretty freaking bad

Show me a person with worse stats after totaling it up.. and I'll show you a backup

Only bad thing about those stats is using ESPN that include all QB's and WR,PUNTERS, RB and anyone else who threw a ball.

Oh I didn't look and see how many non-QB's they actually included either... I just know only goes so far and has a minimum amount of passes attached to it

LSU needs better QB play. No brainer. If JJ can do it, great.

I think the fans have cause for hoping Mettenberger pans out though.

Based on??

Based on? BASED ON? (you have to say it in a Jim Mora voice) Based on Rogertheshrubber says so. That's what the hell it's based on. Don't question that.

Switching it to Qualified QB's...

Jefferson 100th rated passer
Jefferson 107th passing yards
Jefferson 114th in TD passes
Jefferson 83rd Yards Per Attempt
Jefferson 92nd in Completion Percentage

I think you will be hard pressed to find a QB who played as much as JJ and produced as little, outside of a rushing offense. LSU fans are actually nice to JJ. You should see what other fans think of him.

If JJ improves, fantastic. Whoever the QB is, needs to step it up big time from last season.

besides, stats don't tell the whole story. The offense we ran last season was predictable and pathetic.

Alright, I looked it up.

According to the 2010 NCAA FBS QB ratings on ESPN, JJ was ranked 100th out of 116 QBs.

JJ will have time to prove he can run the "new offense." No worries. It's his job to lose. How many members are in your fan club BTW? Just curious.

I can't wait to see what the "new offense" looks like.

I have a horrible suspicion we have already seen it...many times.

Somewhat predictable mainly pathetic because we had the 100th out of 116 ranked qb running the offense the majority of the time.

A qb who was unable to perform at a decent level in any game where he had less than 2 weeks to prepare except 1 (Ole Miss). One who amassed 4 total yards against McNeese St and 51 combined total yards against McNeese and ULM. Ladies and gentleman I give you the worst 2 year starter in LSU history Mr Jordan Jefferson!

By the way I would be more than willing to wager if Mett starts he will have zero games of less than 51 yards total offense (again JJ's combined total against powerhouses McNeese and ULM) next year.

I think JJ has talent, but the intangibles are not there. I don't think it's impossible for him to become a decent QB, just don't have a lot of faith. If he does transform into a consistent, capable QB, kudos to him. He does have talent, as we have seen sparks of from time to time.

I think JJ lacks in going over his progressions he likes to stare down the #1 receiver for the certain play...

Don't go posting stats-it enrages his family members that post on here.

But, it proves the apologist's point. He wasn't the absolute worst. I'd like to figure out if the 16 that finished behind him were playing with a 1000 yard rusher and throwing to 3 5* WR's.

Back to the OP, there appear to be some people pinning their hopes on JJ miraculously getting better and at least being average on a new OC. Just like Emril can't make chicken salad out of chicken poop, Krags (or any other OC) can't make a QB out of someone totally missing basic skills like passing accuracy, ability to process a play and find secondary receivers or have a feel for when the pocket is collapsing around him.

here they are:

quote:

101 Spencer Keith, QB KENT
102 Keith Wenning, QB BALL
103 Garrett Gilbert, QB TEX
104 Richard Brehaut, QB UCLA
105 Diondre Borel, QB USU
106 Matt Schilz, QB BGSU
107 Kawaun Jakes, QB WKU
108 Tanner Price, QB WAKE
109 Jordan Webb, QB KU
110 Matt Christian, QB NMSU
111 Chase Rettig, QB BC
112 Jerry Davis, QB BUFF
113 Dwight Dasher, QB MTU
114 Zach Frazer, QB CONN
115 Patrick Nicely, QB AKR
116 Larry Smith, QB VAN

Those in bold had fewer yards than JJ.
Those underlined had fewer td's than JJ.

Somebody tell me who on that list was the QB of a team in the top 10 with a shot at a BCS bowl game?
You JJ apologists really don't see how bad he is, do you?
