I agree. The excitement is for one player. The qb, receivers, defense are all largely unknown at this point by the average non -LSU college football fan.

Well the 2011 had a better offense. No player as good as LF, I agree. But the offense overall was better than what we have seen so far this year.
2003, 2006 and 2007 were also much more complete teams than what this team has shown so far.
I also think the LSU team at the end of 06 may be the best LSU team ever. They had some growing pains early on, but at the end of that year it was if the few times LSU had a great offense and a great defense firing at all cylinders at the same time.

It is the fact that people see us playing for the ship powered by a Heisman winner and a once in a generation power the whole thing. Leonard is special and it is clear to everyone but what makes extra special in opinion is his off the charts character and Leadership. He makes all of his team mates better and thus is making LSU great and now a national phenomenon - this perfect storm will pay off enormously for the team and the great University of LSU!

This is what I am saying and not since 1958 and 59 has LSU had this type of National Following, something Notre Dame had when I was growing up.

Americas team, please. It might get LSU a few more casual fans, but the mid west is still all for The B1G, the west coast is still doesn't give a crap about college football.
