BTW, the context of the thread was the upcoming season (2010 season). You based your statement that JJ "is" the much better QB on last year's stats, while failing to recognize that barkely would grow by leaps and bounds, while JJ would stangate or regress. I did not make that mistake.

USING the stats from Rivals, so they would all be in the same format:
QB's:
JJ vs. MB: JJ has a higher QB rating 137.2 to 131.3 for MB, a higher completion percentage, 61.5% to 59.9%, and threw half the interceptions that MB threw, 7 to 14.
JJ wins. So
Offense:
LSU 25.5 PPG, USC 26.7 for a "massive" 1.2 PPG difference. Impressive. Except not.
So
Defense:
LSU 16.0 PPG, USC 20.4 PPG. LSU 326.6 YPG, USC 342.8. LSU 13 INT, USC 11.
LSU wins.
So

Nope. I did not mention the previous year's stats. I looked at them, took them into account, and said barkley is the better QB.
