Miles - An Ontological Journey

Ok, so I know some will not like the word ontological, but it is fitting. It is just a fancy word for the "nature of being and becoming".
All persons and coaches have an ontological journey through life, and/or their profession. It is how they shift and change in the process of BECOMING their refined (or degraded) selves.
Small shifts and adjustments, some through happenstance, and some through intentional attempts to make large shifts, are part of the process.
So far, in 11 seasons, Miles has yet to make a large shift. Some changes, for sure, but no decidedly large shifts.
Big shifts/changes are essential in the new era and with the increase of innovative minds into the game of college football.
Old School has its merits, but without complimentary changes, the formula simply will not work. No matter how much talent a team garners.
For comparison (realizing it is obvious, and therefore a bit overdone), let's look at Saban. He adapted his coaching style and philosophy on offense in the last 5+ seasons, and it has paid off handsomely.
This season, Coach Miles has yet another chance to make a sizeable shift in himself, and therefore in his coaching essence/philosophy.
Season 12 could be the year.
Some will say it is not possible.
I used to be one of them, but I am among those who believe it is now a real possibility.
Miles was almost out of here in season 11, and so far, we see the addition of Aranda, and the moving of Cam down to the sidelines. These are nice changes - But will there be more "notable/sizeable" shifts?
This season is going to be an amazing one to see unfold. Here's to Coach Miles showing the world, and all of us diehards, that he has genuinely made a sizeable shift deep in his coaching soul, with retention of his best skills, and true adoption of new WAYS OF BEING. If he does so, I truly do think He will lead the 2016 Tigers to the National Championship.
Geaux Miles and Geaux Tigers!

We will see. We will see. At this point your post is almost pure speculation. Good read though.

Saban didn't make a "shift", he hired a OC thst had some baggage. Very few coaches had the political capital to hire Kiffen.
Aranda was as big of a philosophical shift as anything anyone has done this offseason.
shite, remember punt ugly? Now it's a norm.
The rant doesn't acknowledge defense or special teams as parts of a football team

But if you asked every college football coach who the most innovative coach in the business is right now...Dave Aranda would be on every list if not in the top 2-3 coaches.
The fact that Les went and hired him, as he did with Pelini (a youngish rising coach), is completely ignored in this desire for 'change'

Well the coordinators will be on the sidelines ... so there's a change. Let's see if it works/helps.

Coach Miles is what he is. He lacks imagination, and he has been successful with what he has done, so don't expect any seismic shifts.

He still runs a prostyle offense. This notion that his offense has made major changes just isnt true.
