Pretty sure it takes 3 months to reproduce RBC's. Taking liquid iron isn't will help a little right away but won't get the full effect for a few months.
I say give him a pint of the red stuff and correct it in time for the game.

If true I have had same problem and does screw you up. Takes a while to get iron back up. Intravenous iron is a slow infusion

This can turn out well for two reasons
1. It actually is the problem and will give him more energy.
2. Placebo effect and he feels like he can give more than he has been the last few games.
This team could make a final four run in this mediocre bracket if Mickey is at his best.

When my son was about a year old he was anemic. The Peidatrician prescribed various iron supplements with no change. Finally I discontinued the supplements and started feeding him spinach, chicken livers, and any food that I knew was high in iron. He improved immediately.

We have all noticed his level of play has diminished the last few weeks. Makes sense but I wonder if this is something that should have been checked before now.
You can't really believe that baw

quote:Mickey is tired bc he's logged a lot of minutes. They add up. More iron isn't going to undo all those minutes. Hopefully, he has enough in the tank.
Jordan Mickey says his iron has been low + that's caused lack of energy
