Has to have the worst RB number (42) ever. Will he change numbers or keep it?

I'd rather 42 than 32 - the number of a man who decapitated his wife and got away with it.

can be kinda cool to take a less common number and then try to become "The" guy LSU fans think of when they see that jersey number. Cannon with 20, of course, most would say 7 for Jones, 3 for Faulk, etc. (funny, but I don't know if you can that about JR because he changed numbers). Maybe 18 for Hester? Anyway, I'd love for Ford to make it to where Tiger fans for years to come will think of him when they see 42.

I agree and I assumed he would take 32 when CS left.

32 is also the number to probably the best football player in history.

Not at all. I still wear number 21 as a tribute to Roberto Clemente. Started when I was a kid in Dixie League.

I would like to have seen Ford and Baker (OLB, 22) switch, but now i'm glad they have those numbers since a Bama fan doesn't approve. it will make it that much better when the last thing a defender sees is #42 galloping into the endzone.

Ronnie Lott wore #42 and he is in the NFL Fall of Fame. There is nothing wrong with #42.
