I'd say almost 300 yds vs that defense could be called a torching.

That's a good day. Far from torching.

Against that defense, I was pretty damn happy with it.

We should all remember that picking a QB in the draft, who is going to be successful in the NFL is one of the hardest things to do. Look at Jamarcus Russell. Every damn GM in the league had him as a top 5 pick and look how he turned out. ZM could be the next JM or the next Tom Brady, at this point its impossible to tell. Kiper has his opinion based on what he's seen so far....but this season's results is going to determine ZM's fate..not what Kiper thinks.

I am hopeful that Mett steps it up this year, but like everyone else, I am in wait and see mode. That's what makes watching the games so fun isn't it?

I think the Patriots would take him because he fits the Tom Brady type mold. They probably trade Mallet and draft him to take over after 3 years.

TB12 will still be the QB in NE in 2017.

"Who are they?"

2014 is already being considering a deep draft for QB's.

Bridgewater, Manziel, Foles, Murray, Boyd, McCarron, Carr, Thomas, Miller, Hundley, and Renner.

Like I said he has the tools to move to the top, but at this point, he wouldn't be in the Top 10. Hell, I hope he moves to #1, but right now you couldn't convince me he is a better prospect than any of those 10.

Idk how some of you believe that ZM will have a J.Russell type season just because of Coach Cam joining the staff...

Realistically I think he'lo have a 15-18 TDs and throw for mid two thousands as far as passing yards go

It's usually based on potential, not statistics.

He may, he may not but I don't really see that being suggested often, or at all.

That people believe he will or has the ability to have? I don't see anyone saying it's a definite.

He's got room to improve, and the talent to do it.

Agree 100%, but I doubt you can find any draft guru that has Mett ahead of any of those guys at this point on potential.

I've seen it posted here and on SDS that people believe that Cam will vastly improve ZM and make him a 1st rounder.

I believe that's a bit far fetched.

Well, a year ago Matt Barkley was a sure fire first rounder.

Senior season and combine will mean much more than his first year as a starter in the SEC.

Absolutely. My point was just that at this point, Mett isn't up there with those guys and Kiper isn't far off.

ALOT can change between now and the draft. At this time last year, I would of never guessed Manual would be the first QB drafted this year.

You could see the writing on the wall with Barkley. Lost his LT to the previous draft and injuries to his oline last season didn't help his stock at all.

Well, Kiper isn't projecting any improvement. I think with his wr corps, he can't help but improve. It's just too early to be projecting selection in the next draft. I think Mett. will be up there in the top 5-6

Everyone settle down. The kid has potential. Is he top 10? Who knows but name me another qb that lost his LT, had a guy like studrawa calling plays, and his top 3 receivers all about 5'7, and they had trouble catching the ball. I mean what else can you really judge the kid on other than god given ability with all that mess mentioned above. I know one thing, I don't Mel Kiper telling me who has it and who doesn't. You people think just because someone is on tv they know what they're talking about? Good lord I'm going to bed.

Well, I think the point is that college success isn't always totally dependent on talent and how that projects to the next level. While someone like Barkley should have gone a year early, someone like Mett will most likely improve their stock (better receivers, better O'line and more than a year as starter)

Met will probably take himself out of the draft and just sign with the Eagles.
