Not only will he be drafted but he will go in the first or 2nd
Round IMHO!!! Before you rip me to shreds Cam said his arm is second only to flaco!! We will have an improved O line better receivers and better coached receivers and more targets to throw to. The receivers will be running superior routes. Plus he has a year under his belt.

I honestly think Mett is going to tear it up this year

So Mett as a Senior isn't one of the 18 best QB's that are draft eligible in 2014 according to Mel Kiper.
Didn't see a thread on this, and I searched...
thoughts?
If I were Mett's team mates, I'd put that article up in his locker in plain sight
essentially, Kiper is saying that Mett will not be drafted
Uhhh....what has he done, up to this point, that would make you think he will be drafted into the NFL???????

I hope you're right.
But he still has to prove he is worthy of being drafted.

Because he's not that good. Did you watch him last year? Flashes of brilliance but mostly mediocre. Take off the P&G glasses and see Mett for what he is. I expect marginal improvement under Cam, but not a complete transformation.

I watched a turtle cross a fairway the other day -made me think of our QB.

Probably is not one of the best 18 qbs in the country.
sure he is.
Walterfootball has him at 15, and I take his opinion way more legit than Mel Kiper

Mett could go off this year and win the Heisman, then they will all ride his dick. Let the season play out then we will look at draft order...

Yeah but let's be realistic here.

That's the kind of unneeded hype that maybe screwed him last year.

Bad pocket presence, very low release point on throws. Probably is not one of the best 18 qbs in the country.

i agree...plus imo i dont think the coaching staff put any of our qbs in great situations as far as play calling goes the last five years.now with a good oc we should see a diffrence in production at that position.

If Miles lets Cam run the offense.

17 FIFY
But yeah there aren't 17 QBs would go in the draft left alone 15 that would go before him. Mett is a guy who could be polished into a mainstay in the NFL and I think the Patriots would take him because he fits the Tom Brady type mold. They probably trade Mallet and draft him to take over after 3 years.
Mett is getting NFL QB coaching and has ridiculous talent all over the field and should do pretty well with both sides of the OL anchored down behind La'el and Vadal. People seem to forget that even with how inconsistent he was, the OL (first 5 games) was horrible, in that same span the WRs were horrible (at least with drops). It was a combination of all of those things that hindered his production and growth as a player and our production and growth as an offense.

He's got potential but has had bad coaching and an attitude prob imo. Hopefully will get that cleaned up this year, but right now he's NOT a top QB.

Can make all the throws. Throws a pretty ball and has solid arm strength. Big kid. Takes a beating, and gets right back in the saddle. Good competitiveness. Has a big upside.
Or:
Bad footwork, consistently leads receivers too much on long throws, accuracy is lukewarm at best, inconsistent and streakish, no threat to run, seems immature and egotistical in a petulant way, doesn't seem to have a burning desire to win, etc.
2013 will tell the tale.

Mett is not NFL material. Hope he plays well this year, though!

...and lacks "leadership" presence. But I do believe he's got the tools to be coached up. He does have a season against the nations best talent with an ex NFL coordinator as his coach and some very good receivers to prove his worthiness...
