The NFL doesn't feel that way if the draft were today he'd go in the first round. Miles said the fumble at the goal was porters fault the anouncers said it was porters fault(both former players).

Now come on Mett is not a first round qb and the fumble was Mett's fault. The ball hit Mett in his hand. Porter did everything he was supposed to do. Mett pulled away to fast is why happened

Any marketed improvement in QB play from last year and this team will go very far.

Yeah, LSU should cash in on the jersey sales.

Mett had limited (a few plays) experience before being handed the reins. No matter how great of a QB you are in high school you will go through growings pains in this league. I expected problems in the first games. Pressure is different when you are now "the man" instead of a backup. Also I expected problems with AU because it was his first SEC game and an away game at that. Mett will be a very good QB for us and he should be ready by the time we get into the meat of our schedule.

Do any of these motherfrickers remember who our QBs were last year when we ripped through the entire country? And now all of a sudden it's impossible to win without a great one?

How's USC doing with Barkley?

Not worried a bit about the performance vs Auburn. He did fine. I will worry if he sucks vs UF. I don't see that happening though.

John elway wasn't a graceful dancer in the backfield.
Dan Marino was not a ballerina either.
Payton manning isn't known for his quick feet.
All mett needs is a little protection in the backfield from his line and for butterfingered receivers to catch the ball and he will be a star.

We shall see. This is when players show if they got it or not. Let's be honest, Mett hasn't shown it yet. I believe he does. But, we will see this Saturday. That is as real as it gets.

Danielson said last week that Mett was a heisman candidate. Then he said McCarron could win back to back heismans and 3 national titles.

FWIW, Finebaum always rags on Danielson for being a whacko. The fact that he tweeted a quote from Danielson is probably just Finebaum trolling because he disagrees.

When a starting QB has few quality snaps under his belt, there is still a learning curve.
We are still paying a price for Les inexplicably refusing to give Mett PT last year, even when games were no longer in doubt.
Does anybody disagree with this?
If so, pls give specifics....
