Please explain.

I just checked back on this thread and can't believe you guys can't recognize sarcasm. When according to Miles all preseason JJ was going to tear it up. Then when he finally gets to play save the first bama game he sucked as bad or worse then any qb I have ever seen. I doubt there is anyone on this board that is more pleased then I that he is done.

To set the record straight, not really true, except vs 2 top 5 Ds
LSU QBs just weren't very good under duress.
I'm glad the controversy is over, but it was still one of the best seasons in LSU history.

Pardon?

JJ was given every opportunity to succeed.

Very true. Even after his "little thing" before the season started. I never said he wasn't given that.

So how did "they" screw up JJ again?

I think you jumped the gun telling me to GFY.

We all have a bad taste in our mouth over the JJ saga, and I believe CLM, made the mistake of promising someone that JJ would be be starter, period, then had to keep his word even nearly to his demise. I certainly hope this is the case as that would mean it is truly behind us. We need to just let it go and enjoy the panic stricken joy we all feel every time our beloved Tigers take the field.

potentially...... let's not get crazy..... yes, he was highly recruited.... yes, he has a ton of potential to do great things at LSU.... but let's to actually see him play before anointing him as some sort of savior..
from just the spring game trust me we now have a quarterback.

Yea Les.

I have no doubt that's an accurate assessment. Les' stubbornness and refusal to seek out alternatives to an obvious QB deficiency is the primary reason he will never win me over completely.

I'm not a Les basher, and his pluses may well out weigh the negatives, but I do believe some of his shortcomings have hurt LSU teams in the past.

I was not talking about you birdman. I enjoy your posts. I was talking to the poster that was assuming the coaches screwed up JJ... You asked for an explanation and I would be happier without one. I can only handle so much stupid in one day...
