I like the fact that CEO has come out with a full-throated endorsement to keep Brennan in his role as starting QB. You can't help but wonder however, if the performance by TJ will make Brennan press a little if he doesn't find an early rhythm. I've seen it happen multiple times. We really don't need this to happen. QB controversies rarely ever create immediate positive returns.

TJ could very well be better than Myles. Myles certainly hasn't done anything to lose his job however. I just hope that Brennan comes into Auburn and plays with great confidence and we don't need to pull him for ineffectiveness. The absolute best result for our team is for Brennan to run with his role and continue to evolve and for Brennan/TJ/Max and Nuss can battle it out next spring.

We can all agree that our QB room will be stacked for years to come!

Mental state of MB is that he put more than most would at this stage of college athletics and the entitlement mentality.

Apparently he is off social media which tells me hes blocking out the noise and preparing to continue to prove the doubters wrong the rest of the season.

He has to know that hes competing for his job going into next season so does he try and get on with an NFl team, or stay and compete for one more year?

I wasn't a huge fan of how O bluntly said if Myles wasn't playing well he would put in TJ. Not a great confidence booster for your QB.

Some of y’all need to pop the tit out of this kids mouth! This isn’t playground ball, this is major D1 ball! There was absolutely nothing wrong with what O said, if anything that should push Myles to be better! If a comment like that from O what make Brennan lose his confidence, then he just needs to hang it up now....

I'm not a coddler by any means, but psychologically it can and does affect players.

Could’ve fooled me lol if something like that mentally messes with someone’s mind that bad, then they have deeper issues, because that should motivate a high level athlete!

I actually O was inambiguous about Myles being "the guy" if he was healthy. O was brutally honest in saying yes, if TJ hadn't played so well they would be pushing Myles harder to get him ready. I don't see how Ed could've handled it any better in terms of what his mindset is. He's in this to win games so he's playing whomever gives the team the best chance. He rightfully feels that Myles has played very well for the most part and it's not time to go in another direction. He let Myles know(somewhat Overtly) that he still believes in him but he has options. That should be every coaches mindset.

Who said he has lost his job? He will lose his job only when coaches think another QB is better.

Myles hasn't lost his job yet but he's a 6'6 baw with a cannon for a right arm pushing him that's for sure.

You don’t think Brennan can play in the NFL? Ever heard of Ben Dinucci? He’s the QB for the Dallas Cowboys ever heard of them? Right now Myles Brennan has more passing yards and over twice as many TDs this season than Dinucci ever had in a single season of college football and he’s in the NFL, on a roster and possibly starting this week. This offense’s first QB is setting rookie passing records and may break em all by seasons end. Brennan is coming from the same system and keeping a close pace to that QB so far, he’s literally a yard behind. Someone will definitely give him a shot if he’s not a top prospect by the time he enters. Only on the rant do you find fans trying to blame the defense on the QB.

I guess I was responding to the statements by talking heads like Orlovsky was saying. I don't think it's just a crazy notion that you could consider riding with TJ at this point. I mean, Brennan only has 3 more starts than him.

I think CEO has handled this perfectly so far. This obviously won't be the end of this unless Myles plays well against Auburn. If he doesn't play and TJ shows off again, then we will have a REAL(and justified) QB controvery...or maybe not.

no I don’t. Not even close.

Yes, he has big stats so far, but that’s because we throw it a ton. Brennan looked bad against MSU, and then played two more shitty teams. And this board has him in the NFL. Unbelievable.

You must think Dinucci stopped playing after Pitt and didn't know about JMU.

Why do people upvote Madking's incredibly wrong posts? What an idiot.

I want a QB whose “mental state” isn’t a constant concern.

Ridin’ with Finley

Brennan's mental state going forward should be the same as any other athlete who has had to compete for a starting spot. Give me the ball and let me prove I'm the best. If I am not I can expect to lose my job to someone better, and then fight like hell to get it back.

It’s not his first time competing at LSU and he didn’t throw a fit and transfer when he lost the job, so I can assume off of that he is blocking out the noise and preparing for his return.

I think he has confidence in himself and abilities just by watching him on the sideline when Finley was balling. He will be fine.

Brennan better get used to competition if he’s going to play beyond LSU. Heck, in any professional capacity.
