Men’s and women’s basketball are different sports, just like baseball and softball.

There will never be a softball player that holds a record over both baseball and softball, or vice versa, nor should there be men’s or women’s basketball player that holds a record over both sports.
Maravich is men’s record holder and Clark will be women’s record holder with 18 more points, period.

Caitlin Clark is only 3,668 points away from passing Pete Maravich.

It’s people who don’t really matter telling you what a record is. Y’all eat that shite up though.

There are different rules between the two. Not as much as baseball/softball, but enough to say that they're two different sports.
