My God you're an idiot. No way? How can you day there is no way? Because he's looking pretty good in one game? I bet you thought Brandon Harris was the next Cam Newton after his game against State his freshman year.

What does this have to do with Brandon Harris or Cam Newton you retard? Damn...there are some dumb SOB's in this stupid thread today.

Furthermore, I hate to piss on your damn stupid parade, you moonbat, but I'm sorry Myles looked loss to me in comparison to the way this Thompson kid is playing today. Ain't no way Myles can run that ball like Thompson. I'm holding out for Narcisse. Meanwhile, you can have Myles.

So they worked hard and still lost him to a team that didn’t offer until Jan 12, damn near 4 month after O was named IHC. So clearly the previous coaches fault

Do us a favor, moron, go to the nearest psycho ward and check yourself in. Damn, you are dumb.

O was named full time head coach in November, 6 weeks before Clemson won the NC and offered.

Im not pulling up the article again, but the same one i quoted earlier, his coach mentioned O still being only an interim bothered him in September when he stared making the push for Etienne.

Why didn’t Clemson offer him before Jan then? Alabama apparently did, though they also appear to have back off.

dunno. Im not worried about them. He wasn't their instate prospect that was "on the scene" very early in his HS career.

There was more than enough time for O to make up ground. If he can’t convince the kid in 4 months while Dani did in 2-3 weeks....

O had 2 months as full time head coach to make up ground. My guess is he was LSU had Clemson not lost a RB decommit and won a national title in the same week

It's all easy to say sitting here on a message board.

u and other posters that want to blame Miles for losing a kid

When his own damn coach points out how O came in blazing the day he was named interim, I think that says enough about the lack of work Miles put in recruiting this kid.

He didn't offer for over a month from the time he was named full time coach. You are looking almost as stupid as Oregon here. Stick to wearing your rubber boots, coonie

Not according to Etienne's high school coach, you moron. He offered Etienne, drove to Jennings, and even took him out to dinner as soon as he could. Anyway, by the time that O officially became the head coach, it was already too damn late. The damage had already been done.

Meanwhile, I will conclude that your mother must have dropped you on your head when you were a baby or otherwise you choked on boudin because you thought it was your pacifier and ended up permanently brain damaged.

Indeed, he was planning to sign with LSU anyway after everything that had transpired. That is until Dabo offered him and then wined and dined him.

If we wouldve accepted an offer from Thompson and lost Brennan this board would’ve had a meltdown.

Maybe you, but not me. Myle's offer list was pathetic and Thompson was rated a lot higher than Myles. Not to mention, that I much prefer a dual-threat QB relative to a drop-back immobile passer playing in a damn pathetic Catholic League.

Hell no, you damn retard, you aren’t even close to being right.

And Lester Earl posted a quote from his coach saying O told the coach he was going after his boy (Etininne) back in September. However that doesn’t change the fact he was given the full time job 11/26 and Etininne signed with a team that didn’t offer until 1/12 6+ weeks later. So why was Clemson able to get him recruiting him for less than a month?

For the damn hundredth time. Coach O didn’t become the official head coach of LSU, as opposed to the interim head coach of LSU, until after the damn bowl game and until after the coaching search was ended and he was declared the head coach. Prior to that, O didn’t have the permission to recruit for LSU because no one knew who the new head coach would be.

By that time, though, the damage had already been done. In fact, Etienne committed to Texas AM first to try to entice LSU to offer him and he still didn’t get a damn offer because Miles was infatuated with Cam Akers.

So explain how he was after him but didn't offer for over a month?

If O had waited a month, national signing day would have come and passed. The damn bowl game was a New Year's day event, and then there was a coaching search. Remember that? Man, you better slow down on the Boudin or the Gumbo or something.

No, he wasn't. He was still the interim head coach. LSU didn't know at that time who would be the next head coach. Damn, you are beyond dumb son.

I don't care what that 2015 article says. Cam told him he was a TE and not a QB. I have friends who were very close to the recruiting process. And as far as Thompson and Narcisse being of similar size, Narcisse is much bigger and stronger. I have met Thompson. Very nice guy and I would love to have him on the team. But he is skinny and Narcisse is a tank.
