let me try to help some of the slower kids in class, those that can't follow complex sentences or logic...
The previous coach recruited well when he was paying players under the table, out of his own checkbook. He got fired because that was illegal at the time. Immediately after he jeopardized LSU athletics, the rules changed. Now, everyone openly and legally pays players. There's zero evidence that the previous coach can be successful recruiting on an even playing field where everyone is paying players.
I hope that helps some of you out. If not, I can try to dumb it down even further if need be.

There is also zero evidence the current coach is capable of competing at a power 5 level. In fact, there us strong evidence he cannot coach, recruit, or field a competitive team at the power 5 level.
