It’s going to be nuclear and for good reason. Especially if it’s to a sec team.
If he goes to nc state I can at least live with it. I think we could also one day buy him back from them.
He goes to say state or ole miss and we have a Tennessee Pearl situation but there isn’t a Rick Barnes waiting for us.
If BK finished last, missed a bowl, finished second to last he would be fired and no one here would make excuses for that yankee frick. If JJ missed the post season 3 years in a row peoples heads would explode.
No coach at LSU gets the pathetic excuses that MM gets.

That’s not being realistic though. Supporting an insane decision isn’t being pragmatic just because you believe the decision maker to be beyond reproach.

Fat azz woody already said he’s coming back. “Not his fault, he just needs more NIL $$”

Yeah you are right. I’m over WW coming back. But explain to me the difference between Byington’s first year at Vandy and McMahon’s first year in terms of roster building.

Woody should absolutely be fired if BK doesn’t make the playoffs this year and MM once again is a complete and utter failure. We can’t have our 1 and 3 sports being embarrassing.
So basically it’s BK that has to save him because we know MM can’t

You’re right but you can’t say that on this board because a huge portion of our fanbase believes that 2 programs who don’t turn a profit are more important than the 2 that do losing millions per year.

I’m not supporting it. Im accepting what will actually happen, which is what we like to call reality

Would you take mccaffery? I always enjoy watching Iowa play. He got shooters. We need shooters to go with our big men collins and miller.

Which is a complete lie because who is going to give MM money to just light it on fire. Essentially the only program i want to give money currently to is our baseball program.
I refuse to give a dime to basketball because that is just setting my money on fire. Baseball at least delivers to our standard.

No it’s exactly what I said, an appeal to authority.

I like Kim a lot but woody should get heat for how much we invest in a sport that doesn’t make money like WBB.
You can invest in that once you commit to being great in football, baseball and basketball.

Me too, I like both of them but the health of the program is based on the 2 money makers. Football was 3 million down from the previous season last year and basketball made a decade low. It’ll probably be worse returns for both this year and operating costs are rising. That’s just a fact.

The only job opening I want to see is LSU.

Football has to get back on track. It’s problem this year is the home schedule is weaker.
Basketball is going to have no season ticket holders and the worst attendance in a long time.

Correct but you know what negates things like a weak home schedule? Making the post season.
Posted on 3/14/25 at 1:41 pm to Madking
Yea you make the playoffs and it’s fine. I don’t know that BK can. I feel like his 10m is a random retirement gift and he doesn’t care as much as he should.

Texas is likely going to bail on a HC who in his first two seasons went to the Elite 8 and round of 32, and has a very outside chance of making the NCAAT this year. If/when the Texas job opens, Wade will try to get into the mix.
Back here in BR, LSU's going gleefully look forward to year four of the HC who has the fewest wins in the SEC, over the last three seasons.
Texas stupidly fired their successful HC for "bad PR purposes". But at least they want to fix that mistake as best as possible.

I agree and if it doesn’t happen again the conversation will start to change. This is what I meant by a lot of our fans paying attention to the wrong things.

Not disagreeing with you and it makes sense from a purely on court aspect but I just don’t see Wade fitting at Texas. I don’t think he fits that culture but I might be wrong.

I am curious how he would do with boosters that want to meddle like Texas has. Now, I know he would have them throwing around money and winning and once you start to win you can tame those types.
