Make O continue to push this dumpster fire down the road for a while and the fire only gets hotter over the coming weeks. Maybe then Ed is so worn out and burnt out he leaves without a fight or buyout. And it finally teaches O that he was never head coach material and never will be.

Doubtful it’s the case but it’s a good thought.

2019 he won a national championship

Edit: now maybe your argument can be he is not a long term, 10 year head coach.

It's really not a good thought though.

Not really. You haven't given consideration to how much $$ O loses if he quits

Yeah not happening. O isn’t going to just give up millions out of the kindness of his heart.

Only because he had a Heisman quarterback. Without Joe, that would have never happened.

He was instrumental in bringing him in, and coached the team throughout the season. That’s such a dumb thing to say.

So you are saying without the players it wouldn't happen? That's how it works? The players play the game?

He can sit back and make 8.7 a year and not have any problems. Easy to take heat when you are making that much. Plus he already won a title so he can hang his hat on that.

Look, it's over for O, but Joe said O personally convinced him to go to LSU. Cincy wanted him and it was close to home, Nebraska told him he wasn't good enough and Florida said they were good with what they had. O has made some awful hiring decisions and he will pay for it wirh his job, but heavily recruiting and convincing Burrow to come here after Busch told him about Burrow was a great decision. So I have to give him credit. He could have said "no thanks" like the other schools.

Also, we had awesome talent around Burrow who O did recruit, so I have to give him credit there too.
