But they post a TON of pro Alabama articles. Who is going there. Who LSU missed on.

For a hometown paper, is this normal?

This thread is useless without links.

They're affiliated with AL.com and sometimes pickup each others articles.

1/9/12 forever changed my mind about the allegiance, or lack thereof regarding NOLA’s support for LSU. I saw many more Alabama fans before, during and after the game. For being merely 70 miles or so from BR, it doesn’t really provide that much support for LSU.

Was New Orleans supposed to block them at the state line?

I doubt they’re as bias as you’re implying. Probably just reporting that Bama continues to do a good job getting LA recruits.

As a newspaper they shouldn’t even be “pro” or “anti” Bama or LSU. I get it with politics—regardless of how I feel about it—but we shouldn’t expect a sports section to “support” anything.

No. But what about supporting your state flagship university better?

What the hell are you talking about? The Bama fans traveled for the game from Bama, you really think that was locals? Nola definitely supports LSU.

Nola has a lot of bama fans and alumni. Btw.

Birmingham has a ton of LSU fans and alumni too. It’s not totally weird.

And the University of Alabama isn’t in Birmingham but you would never see LSU fans out number Alabama fans in a game played there
