Damn.... that’s pretty surprising. I wouldn’t have been surprised to see him win the job but to take 1st team reps the first day of spring is fricking shocking to me

I think Max might be the guy. He should’ve started against Alabama, but it might be best that he didn’t looking back at it just on the confidence factor because LSU wouldn’t have won the game.

Competition is how coaches increase the intensity and sense of urgency in practices, drills, and preparation. Also, making Brennan step up and take control of the starting position and providing opportunities for Max to continue where he left off last season will only push both to improve and strengthen the depth at the position should another injury occur. And, it establishes a culture that the depth chart is an open, season long tournament.

Is he taking fist team reps exclusively or is he taking reps with the first team offense AFTER MB had his fist team reps?
