Because the Dolphins are a bunch of clowns run by amateurs.

Matt Flynn to Seattle

I feel like this means Miami has decided it wanted Peyton and Flynn got wind of it. Flynn would have been the better value, but Peyton has no risk for the coaches...who's gonna blame you for taking a shot at Peyton if it doesn't work out? If Flynn had not worked out, they'd be decapitated for passing on Manning.

ok...I'm pretty sure Flynn had previously said he would love to play for Philbin...and in the article Flynn is quoted as saying he went to Seattle in part because he felt like he knew the offense? Really...like he doesn't know the offense Philbin will run? Whether it be Smith or Manning, I think the Dolphins had decided on someone other than Flynn. I just think it's Manning and he's playing Miami and San Fran against each other.

Too bad Peyton already eliminated the Dolphins from his choices. Can you blame him? Bunch of clowns.

I'm sure Flynn would love to start but I doubt he'd be too upset if he's making $8.67 million/year just to hold a clipboard

Good for him. Definate proven talent....deserves the up-front time. Will watch Seahawks game now, unless they are playing the Saints

first one to open the checkbook.

only one.

and he's not guaranteed starter.

its a job. maybe he will start. maybe not.

its better than for-sure backup and the money is very very good.

Miami fans have to be pumped. No to free agents Manning, and Flynn. But let's give up something in a trade for Alex Smith. I'd fricking choke the shite out of that GM if I was a Fin fan.

1) Manning took Miami out of the running a week and a half ago

2) Matt visited Cleveland and they did not offer a contract because his asking price was too high

3) Flynn visited Seattle and they pffered him a contract but not a guarenteed starting spot (but hell beat out T Jack)

4) Flynn then visited the Dolphins hoping to sign with them but they wanted to take advantage of the underwhelming market for Flynn. In a stroke of pure stupidity, they lowballed him assumingly and so he signed with Seattle

Alex Smith was plan C for them. The Dolphins took a risk and got burned on Flynn and now they may not end up with any other QB at all

I think Seattle Should have made this move last year. Brandon Marshall leaving Miami isn't working in their favor either. Lets hope Baldwin and Rice pan out for Flynn.

Bingo.

He was absolutely prepared to sign there Saturday. Hell, the sun sentinel published a short blurb saying they were "on the verge."

Yeah I think this team will be a good one for Flynn. He has 2 underrated wide receivers and has an overall ok team around him. Look for Flynn to be one of the league's dynamic QB's.
