Matt played at LSU in the 08-11 era. Had a horrific hunting accident a couple of years ago that was very close to ending his life. Talked about his faith getting him through and having a new lease on life after almost losing his. He spoke at our church today. Good stuff.

His family is from Rayville/Monroe area.

He is from Sterlington, just north of Monroe if I remember correctly.
