Just saw the notification from the alumni association here in Jackson. If anyone wants to donate, his code is DS49. Apparently he’s gone through 150 units so far. Mississippi blood services is depleted.

ETA: He has a pretty rare blood type in B-, which can receive from B- and of course O-, but MBS is depleted so they are asking for all blood types to donate if possible. You can still use his code even if you are not a matching blood type.

You don't need the type. You are simply replacing his used products.
Just go to a local blood donor center and tell them who you are donating for and where he is.

Is he still in Jackson, MS?

I can no longer give because of the meds I take for RA, but I'm spreading the word far and wide.

From Bonnett.

Please spread the word for this former @LSUfootball player in need - Matt Branch was critically injured in a hunting accident and needs B- blood. Please donate at your nearest blood bank and earmark for him. He’s at a hospital in Jackson, Miss., area.

Sam Spiegelman says Matt is B-. Go to a local blood unit and earmark for him if you are compatible.

You don't have to be B- or O- to help. Any blood type given in his name will help replenish the blood bank inventory and help defray the cost of the blood units used to help save his life.

You don't have to be compatable. They just want replacement units.

Really, the question to me is why you idiots always make a deal out of miscellaneous downvotes. It’s fairly obvious why they occur. Folks fat-finger an upvote, or accidentally downvote when they tried to scroll on a touchscreen.

You are right, but as often as it happens, you would think the brain trust that monitors this sight could separate the two symbols.
