I was born in South Africa and moved to the US when I was 5. I’ve only been back once and it was more than 20 years ago.
I have no desire to go back. The scariest thing is the utter disregard for life the criminals have. They will murder you for the equivalent of 20 dollars without thinking twice and the chances of facing any consequences are slim to none.

people always say South Africa is so beautiful and they'd move there in a second.
