Don't know about a dunk contest but I would take Zion in arm-wrasslin.

Really? I don’t think Zion has near the Agility or quickness of hand to do the cooler dunk contest moves like Gordon or Lavine did that one year. I think Zion has plenty of explosiveness, just not the kind of mid-air agility that Taylor has. Think about it, even though big boys dunk more in games than anyone on the court. The big hulking 6’10” almost 300 pound guys never win dunk contests

Have you watched him play? Like ever? He’s pulled off dunks in game that would win dunk contests.

that’s probably true in most cases but Zion is a freak of nature. He’s a massive kid with Vince Carter hops.

I’d take Zion all day.

Marlon Taylor Vs Zion Williamson In a Dunk Contest?

No. Lets look at this realistically. Taylor is an average size player. He is very athletic and can jump really high. But, Zion is not average size, he is the size of an Olinman or Dlineman. Size factors into perception, just like Spud Webb winning the dunk contest. It's not the dunks, it's the defying the laws of nature that impresses. I mean, Zion should not be able to get off the floor as high and quick as he does, and this can and will sway opinions. As far as creative dunks, I'd say Taylor has the advantage, but it's not always about creativity. Now, Tremont against Zion, then Zion might get destroyed, if Tremont can get high enough, and I think he can. Maybe.

Have you seen Zion dunk? In games?

He's an elite dunker with creativity to go along with power and size.

He's doing things in games that win dunk contests, even for average sized guards.

Marlon Taylor was literally not in that dunk contest.

I’m still waiting to see Marlon dunk off the dribble instead of dunking a lob. I cringe when Marlon tries to take someone one on one off the dribble. He’s a freakish leaper but I don’t think he has a lot of flare with the ball in his hands.

I love Marlon, but we are talking about Zion Williamson. The guy who was made famous as a high school kid for his insane dunks. The high school recruit who had like 2.5 million followers as a 17 year old because of his dunking ability. People first knew how crazy of a dunker he was before they knew how good of a basketball player he was. So I’m sorry but Zion would win. Zion would win the damn NBA dunk contest right now.

I’d put Mac Mcglung from Georgetown in the top 3 with Marlon and Zion and let them go at it!

Obviously I have watched him play. You are crazy if you think Zion could pull off for example the Gordon up,down, back up dunk or anything that requires that lever of hand quickness
