Yeah he's a better score but Curry is a better all around player which makes him the better Pro Prospect.

It will be interesting to see what both do in the league. . .being able to put the ball in the hole can lead to a long life there (Eddie House concurs). I think Steph will be a defensive liability . . .but he has shown that it is often a mistake to underestimate him.

TJ has MT playing much better D this year, more hustle, and driving to the hole. He was a one dimensional player before TJ( also motivated by SR year>NBA). How is Curry, other than shooting first, or passing to an open man when double teams run at him?

This is actually interesting, because two of my good friends recently had an argument about this so we did a lot of research.
First off, Curry plays in the Southern Conference, end of story. I know the SEC isn't a powerhouse this year, but it's still better than Wofford. Also, against one of the best if not the best defensive team in the country, Xavier, MT still scored 30.
Second, Thornton averages 14.3 shots per game whereas Curry averages 20.4 shots a game. Thornton also averages less minutes and less free throw attempts.
I think Curry is a great player, but I think Thornton is the most underrated player in the country. 98% of fans outside of the SEC and some in the SEC probably don't even know who he is. Thornton is a very physical guard who loves to get garbage points. He also has a great touch from the outside, though. I'm not sure if either one will be superstars in the NBA, but I would think Thornton has more of a chance than Curry because of his physical stature and the ability to score points so many different ways. I know I'm going completely against the grain of the college "experts" who think Curry is the second coming of Maravich, but that's just how I look at it.

He's shooting 54.3% from 2, 41% from 3, 20.0 pts and 5.0 rebs, 1.7 steals in 4 less minutes per game than last year.
