Spread offenses will get yards. Period.

Forgive me if I refuse to accept the "there is nothing we can do about it argument". These coaches are smart guys who can be more creative and try different things. The fact is the problems have been happening since the carolina game last year and I have seen very few changes or new wrinkles in the scheme (I know we are playing more man now). I would not have a problem if this was a new problem but fact is teams have been attacking us the same way for over a year and there seems to have been few adjustments.

And those coaches on the other side are paid to be smart also.

Again, a sread offense will get yards. Does not necessarily mean it will score every possession.

If you play dicpline defense, you can let a spread offense wear itself out, forcing it to be near perfect. It really helps a defense when its offense can PROTECT the ball.

I believe LSU is doing something about it and doing a pretty good job. SEC-Champs, BCD Champs, and 4-0 so far this year.

Still plenty of football this year to go and LSU is not close to peaking.

CM indicated already that the adjustments and changes are being made to combat Florida's offense...personally, I think that we get it done.

Wonder if the defense has been intentionally vanilla (sure seemed that way against State) in an attempt to not give up easy scores and give our young QB’s some time to mature. IOW, as our offense shows itself more potent I think it will enable us to play more aggressively on defense.

Both Auburn and Mississippi State were able to put up points against LSU better than nearly anyone else they've played

Auburn's offense put up a whopping 14 points against us, is that bad defense?

I dont care what they did against Mississpi St. I'm getting so tired of people STILL trying to use the transitive property in football.

IT DOESN'T WORK.

I guess Tulane's defense is MUCH MUCH MUCH better than Georgia AND Clemson right? They held Bama to 6 points, while Bama went nuts on UGA and Clemson.

no pressure on the QBs

I agree to some extent, but missed tackles are a big issue. I commented to my son Saturday that it looks like our DBs are trying to make the highlight reels by making the "big hit," and are forgetting how to make a fundamental tackle. It's the same when we get to the QB; they're trying to clobber as opposed to just tackling him.
