What a moronic post by a guy that obviously paid close attention in English class growing up. It's people like you that have perpetuated the ongoing tolerance of this mediocre Maximus that this coach has led us on for far too many seasons.

Please don't post anymore on a subject that you have such limited knowledge to comment on. The ONLY reason Les has been retained this long is from the irresponsible actions of this administration to continually extend his contract after what seemed to be every better than average season. For that, the university is being penalized some $11-15M.

It is high time for a new chapter of LSU Football, and after a severe financial penalty for the continuing perpetuation of mediocrity, we get to begin to see what that will look and feel like as early as next week! Geaux Tigers!

Well Cadello I hope you're predictions are
More reliable than your small dick and IQ and Jimbo is really a done deal. Not sure why you have faith in these idiots to get anything right, but I hope you're right. I really do. But your resorting to petty insults, which I admit I reply to in kind, betrays your lack of confidence.

Hey genius, what is that new chapter going to be? What do you KNOW, that I don't? I agree Miles
Has underperformed. That's not my point.

And, how is top 20 every year he has been here when there are over 120 teams in our classification mediocrity? Do you even understand math?

As far as my knowledge of English and grammar, I apologize
For my fat fingers and this little keyboard on this phone, so sorry that troubles you so much. Do you need a "safe space" from my fat fingers????

You're right we were 26 last year my bad, still way better than mediocre however and we still DID have the number one recruiting class coming in next year.

Sorry, I don't even know what the heck you're trying to say. All I can suggest is going back and proofing your messages before you push send.

I think Les has been thinking about his retirement for a while now. This happens when everyone hits 60, and Miles is 62. I suspect that he’s been thinking of leaving after the 2016 season along with Fournette. Maybe 2017.

This would explain Chavis refusal to sign a contract with an exit clause in case the HC left, as well as Alleva’s refusal to remove the clause. It would also explain why so many high profile DC prospects expressed interest in the job only to quietly remove their names from consideration after speaking to Les. I don’t think Steele was our first choice.

This would also explain why Alleva might have been doing the ground work in the search for Miles replacement over the last year. He may have even consulted with Miles on this. As the only one of our recent OC’s and DC’s to have success as a HC, Jimbo Fisher seems like the obvious choice.

But then things went badly the last few weeks. Steele isn't all we had hoped, which creates problems for next year. We can't get a new DC with a lame duck coach. So Alleva is pulling the trigger now.

So, if you are upset that we’re letting a good coach go, don’t be. Miles is only being let go a year or two early, and the coach we’re getting is about as close as we can get to the next Les Miles (assuming we do manage to pull Jimbo). We would be doing this in the next couple years anyway.

And one last thing to consider. Nick Saban is 64. If he wins the NC this year, he could very well call it quits and retire (especially as he's losing a lot of players). If that happens, I'd just as soon have our coach locked up before Bama starts searching.

While I agree, in 09 we heard the same thing. The 09, 10, 11 classes put LSU back at elite level. Probably just like the 14,15 and 16 will. Miles for the first time had back to back top #5 classes and was about to have his 3rd in a row. LSU had never been recruiting at the clip before and now they are pulling the rug out.

That's what bothers me. Don't frick with the lifeblood. They better get this right or LSU will be set back.

This conference is not the same as it was back then. Miss St is much much better, Florida will be better, Arkansas is more tough and less finesse, Ole Miss is much better, Bama is Bama, and TAMU is going to be a load to deal with next year. Chavis in year two is going to be hell. Kyle Allen will get over his 2 game skid, and they are actually trying to be better at running (leading RB has 990 yards and 6 TDs on 200 carries).

LSU HAS to get proactive now! Steele is not the answer at DC and we are so thin at LB and DL that we are likely to be blown out of the water many times next year because Miles is stubborn in his philosophy. Bringing in another OC under Miles will not change a damn thing and you've watched LSU the past 8 years to realize that by now.

We also have to go to Green Bay and we nearly lost in Houston last year.

Miles is not the answer anymore and hasn't been for several years now. The SEC is going through a dramatic shift, and we need to get out in front, or we'll be pushed back.

What QB wants to hand the ball off the entire game?

Can you blame FF or anybody else?

Get somebody in here that throws the ball and runs a Modern Era Offense and the QB's will come......

Mack Brown, last 5 years of his tenure (regular season only)

13-0
5-7
7-5
8-4
8-4 (Fired)

Mack Brown last 4 years recruiting
6
2
4
2
17 (Fired and lost recruits)

Mack Brown couldn't out recruit anymore because the Big 12 was changing. Baylor was getting better, Okie State was getting better, K State was getting better, Oklahoma was Oklahoma, and Brown was getting more and more complacent.

It's the same thing for Miles (regular season only)

13-0
10-2
9-3
8-4
7-3 (currently)

Recruiting classes
8
14
6
2
6
2 (currently)

So the recruiting classes are getting better, but the record is getting worse.

And who are we getting that's going to be better? Considering all the factors in play THIS year I've mentioned? I've repeatedly said I agree with all the shite said about miles failures, so repeating them really isn't answering the points I'm making.

Agree, everytime LSU has been through a coaching search the new coach has never been who the fans wanted or said it would be. It is highly unlikely that Jimbo will be the next coach if Les is fired. It is most likely be a low key hire that will have the rant feeling disappointed...
