He definitely doesn’t follow it closely and mainly reads headlines but I don’t think he tried to be contrarian with his takes as much as he just usually goes with status quo and the known guys. Clemson is the status quo team right now so he’s going to pick them. He picks Tua because of what he did two years ago and just completely devalues what Burrow because his take all year has been Tua is better. He has to justify it.

I had to LOL when he was saying how things aligned for Burrow this year with a favorable schedule. Cowherd talks to hear himself talk, but I don’t really think he actually thinks it through all the way beforehand.

What Cowherd is saying is correct Joe was a fourth round pick before the season. He just exploded in the right system he found his Mo Jo . Joe is a late bloomer he put it all together, he is smart, size, arm, pocket awareness .

Not true at all, for one thing Burrow statistically is having one of the best if not the best season in college football history for a QB, perhaps even for college football players altogether. Also, he hates Russell Westbrook who has also statistically been superior to most players year in after year.
He loves Kawhi Leonard who statistically isn’t nearly as good as people say he is, but he has the it factor and plays both ends of the floor.

Heard him admit that he went to a couple college playoff games (all expenses paid, of course) and didn't bother going to the stadiums for the game... watched a little on TV... made it to the post-game press conferences to meet up with his pals.
And, Cowherd will NEVER understand the MASSIVE difference between a QB hitting a wide-open guy with a lightening quick release... and, throwing a WR open with elite NFL-level skills.

He doesn’t have one opinion or analysis that is based on fact. Most of the time he gives totally false information or he makes up stuff that didn’t happen or isn’t real. He’s the most ignorant sports TV guy there is and he doesn’t even watch college football. His idol is Skip Bayless and he tries to bring that kindve hot take value but he doesn’t do the work that Skip does finding info to at least give his opinions an ounce of possibility. The guy is a phony and a moron.

Tua is a better prospect?
A Southpaw, that no current receivers in the NFL are familiar with but current Bama players and maybe some old dude that used to catch passes from Mark Brunell.
Jerry Rice said, left-handers are annoying to catch balls from, he hated the switch from Montana to Young...said it took awhile to get used to Young's passes.
Plus Tua has to throw his whole body into every throw, he's injured, and Burrow is a stand straight non-gimp, right-hander who doesn't need to wind-up for deep throws.
Hmmm. classic tall right handed smooth throwing college QB vs. herky-jerky plumpy (and he'll get fatter) injury-riddled left hander?
Tough choice.
