With all the talk of Dupre and his drops, did anybody notice whether or not he got a little more sure-handed after we made the switch at QB?

I've heard people claim that Etling throws a more catchable ball than Harris. I don't know if that's true, but I'm curious to know his drops per game for each QB. I feel like he had a couple against Ole Miss though...

Well yeah, Etling doesn't have a strong arm so I'd imagine it's easier to catch.

It's decently strong. Harris has an exceptionally, ridiculously strong arm. It could me much worse than Etling

Harris has the stronger arm... it's about ball accuracy. And he didn't have that issue in high school. so it's all about ball placement in college.

That doesn't have as much to do with catchability as placement and spiral do. I'd even argue that a ball thrown harder would be easier to catch to an extent.

Harris throws the ball extremely hard maybe a little too hard at times but the speed of the ball coming to him in the NFL will be much closer to Harris than Etling so thats what he should be judged on.

To be fair, a couple of Chi's drops couldnt have been placed any better if you had walked over and set the ball in his hands.... I think it was just a mental slump, that he had to work out of. Dural caught plenty of balls from Harris that were a littel off target, so cant put it all on BH

and you would lose that argument.

Odell dropped a bunch of balls his sophomore year. Cost us 2-3 games. People forget that

Well, you have to make great catches at the n.f.l. level. OBJ didn't get famous for catching easy balls. If you are an n.f.l. wr, you have to make the great catch at times.

Malachi got caught up in traffic in the Syracuse game last year and when he got laid out I said he'll never be the same again! He hasnt, he's too shy to be a top level WR in the league. Unless he can miraculously come back next year and redeem that quality about himself, all he'll ever be is a 5 star bust!

he struggled early, regardless of QB. got better as the year went o, maybe a drop here or there, but not as bad as those first few games. I think he was just in a slump, a la Lafell in mid 07.
