Hess isn't a Friday starter. Not sure why PM forced it last year and this year

Great observation before the first pitch has been thrown. Any other substantial visions ?

Please tell me his other option last year.

Please tell me his other known option this year to throw opening night.

Hess has Friday night stuff and when he is on he can beat anyone in the country.

HES NEVER PROVEN TO BE A GOOD STARTER.... great reliever yes... but he can go 100% every pitch... as a starter he is about AS AVERAGE AS YOU CAN GET. move him back to reliever or sunday. He will have losing record on fridays in the sec if he stays there.

What was his other option coming into this season?

The other two starters this weekend are freshman and the other known starter you have in Walker is on a limited pitch count.

If the two freshman step up. Walker goes back to freshman walker and Hess continues to struggle then you will see a change.

Geez people it’s baseball. Everything is fluid this early in the season.

It's fluid but he's been the only option for 2 years as the Friday starter...

I'm not freaking out and understand the game. I'm simply pointing out he's not a Good Friday starter and avg starter at best. He's better suited as a closer.

Umm....we had a full season last year to experiment. It didn't work.
