ok, do you believe ZM is that guy?
You didnt make that very clear in the post, that's why I responded the way I did.

I believe as do most other LSU fans Zach is 100% that guy.

Anthony Jennings, Stephen rivers and whoever else should play when we don't want ZM to get hurt an game is in the bag.
Period.
That's just my opinion.

Say TigerLee, Jennings is the backup QB. Face it and it won't be so bad.

That sounds a little like "coaches' speak" to me. If Jennings was better, I think he would be playing.

I think the context in which Cameron made the comment was important. He was basically saying that if Jennings had to play they wouldn't have to change the entire offense to some sort of option based attack. Not that he is a better QB right now.

I do agree with letting Jennings run the offense when he is in instead of handing off just to get the game over with. But from Miles' comments I think they'll let him run the offense before the game is completely out of control. Maybe he gets a series when it is 24-3 instead of 41-10. Where he will get to play with and against some of the top players, and not just the 3rd and 4th teams late in the game.

Let me add, that when Jennings gets in during "mop up" time, we need to run the offense, the entire package. None of this I formation and run the ball every play to run the clock. I'm not saying deliberately try to run up the score, but Les has a job to get Jennings ready to play, and having him just hand the ball off to the 4th and 5th string running backs isn't going to get Jennings ready. When Jennings gets in the games, he needs to be able to throw some passes and try to execute the offense.

I couldn't agree more.

That is not saying Jennings is better. Maybe just as good and potentially better. But he is a true freshman. He needs experience. And guess what? How does he get that experience? Not by sitting on the bench and watching.

I could be wrong but I believe both TigerLee and BRAVEHEART, among others, would not be complainingg if that freshman QB was the other freshman QB. Just my take on following them over time.

This thought process about race and accusations of posters liking players bc color of their skin is enough to make me want to post porn and be done with this board.

Its old pal... Its outdone.
I cant speak for anyone else but I dont care what color a qb is.
I liked Lee over JJ bc I thought he was better player. Period. Thats where your little "take" comes from.

You guys constantly bringing up race on here are fricking pathetic.
Nobody else does it other than you, and its ALWAYS coming from the angle of the black player getting slighted for the white guy.
Never the other way around... I can assure you coming from someone that played football those guys dont give a F what color their teamates are.

If I were an admin I'd delete every post that incinuated that and you'd gt a PM threating a perma ban if you did it again.
It's fricking old.

Quote one person in this thread that has said Jennings should start over Mett. Just one.

I didn't say he wasn't talented with great upside. I did say there was big drop off when he took snaps compared to Mett. And Welter did look good against the run. It's the same coaches making both decisions.....

I really wish they wouldn't screw with Mett this year and let him play his game.

not only are you a race baiter apparently you arent all that bright either.

Nobody said that.. however I do believe there are those here that think AJ is AS GOOD as ZM.

Quit making this about what you want to talk about and pay attention.
Ive said no less than 5 times AJ and all other qbs should get some playing time when game is not in question.
ZM is the qb and leader of this team.. DWI.

WTF else more do you want?

there is a good possibility he will be better when it's all said and done, but that doesn't mean Zach isn't the better option today.

All this bickering... Has anybody actually disagreed with anyone yet?

AJ is going to get touches. We're excited he's as good as he is. And Mett is looking damn good and earned the starting job for his senior year. What is there to complain about?

I'm not sure I want any additional QB outside of the immediate backup getting playing time at this point, unless it's to run the victory formation.

But the main point of disagreement is that some, including me, would like to see the backup get some meaningful snaps while the game is still somewhat competitive...i.e. running a series of downs when it's 17-0 in the second quarter against Auburn.

Dude, shut up. Give it another couple of pages, and someone will be positive that we should fire Les Miles.

What does that have to do with any of this?

You were the one who stated you root for players based on color. I did a quick search to find statement you made about Rettig during recruitment that is similar to the compliments Jenning recieves that gets you up and arms.

And if anyone needs a perma band it is those of your ilk. And sure, I am the only one who has peeped your hold card. We are all making it up about you.

we're trying to cure the severe vaginal itch you seem to develop when someone suggests that Jennings might be a good QB

Actually nothing to complain about. But some have a problem with the second part about AJ getting touches when Coach Miles stated that he would.
