This is a pro style offense that all but the best qbs on the planet struggle with. Why are we trying to run such a hard offense with college players? When you have blocking problems, you want quick horizontal routes, not long developing 2 wr play action passes. It seems common sense to me.

Said this when we hired Cam and got crushed on here for it. The last 3 QB's he has coached before college were Brees, Rivers, and Flacco. They were already developed and good.
This is a perfect reason why NFL coaches don't always make great college coaches. We are asking our undeveloped QB to make some of the toughest passes even for NFL QBs. We had one QB that could do it... Mett. Nobody else.

I don't think it's so much the offense as it is the coaching and play calling of said offense. Bama and FSU run very similar offenses with very similar talent and have very different results. The only big difference being who is on the sidelines. Coaching and play calling make this offense dysfunctional.

Because Miles and Cameron don't know how or want to know how to do anything else.

You people keep saying this, but you don't know what you are talking about. Bama doesn't run a very similar offense. It has some broad similarities, but they are very different.

No, they really don't. Both enjoy the power running game, but their passing "scheme" is completely different.

Well...just take a look at what Dan Enos does at Arkansas with the talent there. I would say yes, it's common sense

Harris looks like a skiddish horse when operating under center, especially play action...doesnt like turning his back to the defence, hence the out of control spinouts....Miles and Cameron are complete dolts for not letting this kid operate 1oo% out of the gun. But, if he's in the gun no toss dive.

simple answer: The passing plays take too long to develop and the QB rollouts are never to the QB's strengths.

Go back and watch how many times Jimbo rolled out with Jamarcus Russell.

Wrong. They are both Power Run, pro-style offenses that operate primarily out of 2 wide receiver sets in either the I or 2 TE. The difference is they actually mix in some 3 wide sets and use the entire route tree. The basis of the offenses are damn near identical.
