So Jefferson has the worst QB rating of the 4. Pretty much as expected.
and yet his stats are not that bad compared. some of yall would not be happy with those "star" qb's either.

The difference is, none of the other 3 start for an offense ranked 112 in the nation.
And Jefferson isn't part of that offense?

I probably shouldn't be so hard on Jefferson, cause the kid is trying, but it is frustrating to see the limited progression and unwillingness to try other options.

He runs the offense. Our offense is 112th in the nation (can’t believe I had to type in a 3 digit ranking for that). He has the stats you posted because he does not throw the ball deep or over the middle at all, thus our offense is not moving. And that does have an effect on our running game since the defenders just have to defend 10-15 yards downfield.
I’m not saying he is worthless and should be kicked off the team. But you have to admit our offense looks bad right now. I appreciate the fact that he is not turning the ball over. But his quote earlier this week when he said he when he holds onto the ball, it’s because the defense is draped on our WR’s, scares me. Being covered doesn’t mean he’s not open.

I would like to see Jefferson's Yards Per Completion without the YAC that Tolliver and Lafell rack up.

that was my point, Jefferson is a part of the crappy offense, so even if his stats are relatively comparable to the others listed, he is doing something wrong, cause our offense is miserable. The others however, are leading considerably more productive offenses.

I don't really give much of a shite about other teams QB's, but not only is Jefferson not even close to being a star, he won't even be the starter here next year! Hell, he is only this year by default cause Miles has shitcanned Lee forever, and he will transfer after this year, guaranteed! I don't blame him one bit either!

So he has the worst rating, the lowest yards per completion and the highest number of sacks.
But what is most important is that the defensive coordinators of other schools don't fear him...at all. They have taken away the LSU running game completely and dared Crowton to use Jefferson.
And the result has been 1 loss where we looked helpless on offense, 1 comfortable win and 4 wins against inferior opponents that were closer than they had to be.

Exactly. and some fans are alright with this. But this will eventually lead to losses if we don't improve.

None of the QB's on the list have 2 first round receivers either. The other QB's wished they had our receivers.

i won't disagree with you at all right there.

Bottom line is that Jefferson doesn't make decisions quickly enough. He takes entirely too many sacks and has the goofiest throwing motion that certainly doesn't buy him more time.
He will never be a star in the SEC. His ceiling is nothing more than Marcus Randall 2004 type production.

Im pretty sure most QBs don't run after the catch, not even Jefferson.
And like yesterday you are making it seem like I said something that I did not. All I said was I would like to see Jeffersons stats in regards to what I said. I never said anything about other QBs.
My point was he rarely attempts passes more than 10 yards down the field, and the majority of his completions are within 10 yards of the line of scrimmage. Throwing a 10 yard out and having Tolliver take it 50 yards for a touchdown makes that stat deceiving.

Hearing how scared he was to take the ball and convincing the coaches to hand it off made me completely lose faith in him as a QB.
Sure, Scott broke the tackle and the result ended well, but your "star" QB should want the ball when the game's on the line.
He's SCARED.

Don't forget a TE who will be drafted, Reuben Randle and a cast of RBs that are all decent receivers. We have one of the best collection of skill players (minus QB) in the country and we're ranked 112th. And Sammobile starts a thread trying to tell us we're off base in criticizing Jefferson.

i think this is one of the worst jump to conclusions the rantards are making. do you know how that conversation went?
JJ: coach, i am scared. don't make me throw the ball.
or was it
JJ: coach, i think the run would work on this play. lets give it to chuck.
guess what, it worked.

fixed.
he is not saying we don't have problems.

I guess the YPC doesn't include his sacks?
