LSUs Defense's team speed...lets be real; is it that fast???

I didn't post this in the TR forums because this thread wouldn't get past the arrogance that lies in the hearts of many SEC homers...
This the defense really that fast? Just from watching other SEC teams plays, I would say UGA, UF, and Auburn have faster defenses. SEC homers always rant about fast defenses, yet this defense really doesn't seem to play that fast. They are fast then most defenses in the country, but lets look at it.
The defensive line has been unable to repeatedly get to the quarterback this season. Kirston Pittman isn't a burner, and Tyson Jackson is a big DT, NFL 3-4 DE, with a ample quickness and a agility, but hes no rush end. We all know about Glenn Dorsey, and I don't suspect Marlon Favorite to be that much from burner himself.
Ali Highsmith can fly, and so can Beckwith. Sanders? SLOW... I remember the reports that he ran 4.5 in the forty in high school...hes looks 4.7ish now. Cutera isn't a burner himself either.
NFL draft reports that I read constantly say Chevis Jackson isn't a burner and will have trouble at the next level in terms of his speed (see: cover 2 corner). Zenon can run, but his speed is nothing special. Steltz doesn't have great foot speed...i could care less if he supposedly runs a mid to low 4.5. He plays at a mid 4.6 speed, yet makes up for it with his great football IQ and instincts. Curtis Taylor has good speed, and so does Chad Jones. Mccray has good speed too.

They do play sufficiently as a unit however, and I think it masks some players lack of great "SEC" speed...

None of them are as fast as Sed.

Lets leave Seddy out of this and be realistic.

Not a player on the LSU D as fast as TM but thats besides the point. This isn't about SC or their team speed...

Bing played at his 4.57-4.55 speed...
He was also 230, not 200 like Steltz

I heard Sedrick Ellis ran a 4.3. That's what SS told me at least.

I guess he figured 4.5 forties is standard for all college LBs.
