"(Wayde) was the glue guy," said LSU guard Skylar Mays. "He was a glue guy in the way he played because he played to make other guys better. He played to win. It was so effortless for him to help this team win games."

seriously though, you can tell his parents are not at peace with this in the slightest. I can't even begin to understand their world and just hope to never be in it.

Wear these wings to victory, Skylar!

I agree and I miss him so. Good for Skylar, keeping Wayde’s name in the forefront.

I’ve just emailed and phoned every member of the AD and Compliance, and I included how important Wayde was for this team this season.

Told them they’d spoiled the whole motivation and psychological healing having him as 6th Man, in order to help the team cope. Likewise for Faye and Wayde Sims. Jumping the gun as a result of a media report.

Please call and email all the AD and Compliance and express your anger.

See how it plays out by all means, but no need to suspend Coach at this particular time.
What’s the hurry?

Man... when Skylar said "I just feel like he's on a really long vacation and forgot his phone here." That shite hit me.

They will eventually be able to live with it and think about good times one day, but it’s going to be hard for quite some time. My best friend lost a sister to a driver who fell asleep at the wheel after working a double. He and his parents had a rough few years dealing with her death. It gets better, though.

Sigh. I wasn’t planning shedding tears today but as a mom of three with two right above and below Waydes age, this tears my heart into pieces.

It’s not lip service either. Sims was close to getting 1st team minutes and was becoming an “all purpose” type of player. Sims shot right at 40% from 3 which would of been another shooter plus he was one if not our best post defender the year before. Most of all I loved his effort on the court and can’t imagine what it’s been like for these kids.

When you go to the locker room Sims locker has never been cleaned out, when the team goes on a road trip his seats unoccupied, when they go to a hotel the teams 2 to a room had to be changed. I think these players and coaching staff have handled this incredibly as well along with the Sims family showing amazing class and spirit as we all honor their son. I get teary eyed thinking about the situation and then I think about Wade it’s alot to digest for anyone who loves the purple & gold.

Hopefully these kids can rally one more time for Sims, Coach Wade and themselves by winning 5 in a row. Let’s say some prayers and continue to support these players.

Played them a bunch in high school, it was always fun and they were incredible competitors. Great video.
