I'm sure if Coach Kelly had the opportunity again he would go for it on 4th down w chance to win game and NOT give Ole Miss chance to snatch victory from jaws of defeat. It was a bad decision to say the least. Our defense could not stop them and you know they were going to use all 4 downs if they needed to. Just a bad coaching decision. I'm sure when presented w this opportunity again he will make the right call moving forward. I guess he was hoping the defense could come through when it counted.....

Well it was 3rd and 5.

Then JD did the only thing you cant do and took a sack.

It was 100% 2 down territory until the sack.

So he should have thrown the ball away and stopped the clock?

The play sucked, we only had one option.

He panicked, from the play calls to the clock mismanagement to not having any idea whether we were gonna go for it or not it was a total coaching meltdown.

That's gotta hurt him

We were never going for it on 4th with how BK handled that and the fact that a FG could win

You cant have a negative play when you have 2 downs to get 5 yards.

Yes, he shouldve thrown the ball away.

They lost 2 yards on the sack that shouldn’t have stopped it from being 4 down territory

This assumes we would go for it and nothing indicates we would. If we were, that was an all-time bad play call, too.

You can absolutely not lose yardage on 3rd down in that scenario.

Coming out of a timeout to boot.

Yall can spin it however you want, but the reality is it was a low IQ play by JD. Truth hurts.

Thats 2 weeks in a row BK made a bonehead decision that a toddler playing Madden can make. No awareness of the time on the clock. We have a qb with 400 yards passing and a 100 yards rushing and we punt to a team that already gained over 600 yards on us up by 2. We was suppose to go for it even if LSU was on they 20. The shorter the field for ole miss the more time left to come back and win. Bk in game adjustment on 0. Im not a puss im losing laying it all on the line. Frickn season on the line and he punt.

Is there any other way to see it?

Was the time out taken before the 3rd and 5 play?

I wonder what scenario was talked about going for it on 4th down. Would they have gone for it if incomplete pass instead of sack and was 4th and 5. Sack was bad, but it did not lose a large amount of yards.

After seeing a lot of Diggs in 3rd quarter when we took the lead and later increased it he kind of disappeared in 4th quarter.

If they were planning to go for it why would they try a sprint right to the short side of the field. That entire series was stupid play calling.
