We just hired the portal king a week ago. Until they fix the portal and NIL, I trust the portal king. Ole Miss has not had a top ten recruiting class under Kiffin, but he has been killing it in the portal. Seems to work.

Yeah I see a depth issue next season but expect it’ll improve in subsequent years

Damn Oregon spending big time.

Notre Dame pulled in a hell of a class. They are going to be a problem next year.

Are HS kids more expensive than portal ones?

Only the very top 5 stars and very high 4 stars are in that conversation. Most typical recruits are less expensive because of basic supply and demand- recruiting is a much bigger player pool/market.

For players who develop, the money we pay them for retention will increase to at or above the portal rates over their college career, but the advantage is that you know EXACTLY what you have with them since they have developed in your system. If you pay a relatively expensive portal player and they don’t pan out (like Nic Anderson), then that is just empty money.

Depth is going to be a big issue next year

You love to take the negative side of any situation you don’t know shite about. Like your Lamar Brown would have signed 2 days ago if he was signing BS from yesterday. How did that one work out, frickhead?

We don’t know how many on the current roster will stay or will be processed. We don’t know if there will be more HS kids looked at in the NSD window. And we know Lane and his staff have been very good at identifying talent in the portal, including several players with multiple years remaining at OM.

So again, neither you nor anyone else here knows shite about what the depth will look like next season.

I can only imagine the amount of player reps that are contacting LSU and LK right now

It’s gonna be fun
